Below, the 2010 results are listed in more detail.
The columns listed are: RANK, COASTER NAME, PARK, LOC (two letter
abbreviation of state, province, or country), RIDERS (number of polltakers
who indicated they rode each coaster), W (head to head wins versus other
coasters), L (losses), T (ties), WinPct (winning percentage), and TiBk
(tiebreaker..head to head preferences between those coasters tied).
Special attention should again be paid to the RIDERS column when viewing
the results. In general, the rankings of those coasters with more riders
will be more likely to truly reflect the popular sentiment about a coaster.
Special attention should also be paid to the CMPR column when viewing
the results. This shows the number of the 342 coasters included in the official
results that each coaster has valid mutual rider comparisons against.
An asterisk indicates coasters that appeared on fewer than 2 % of ballots.
A blank line has been inserted where > (2/#coasters) WinPct gaps exist.
Mutual-Rider tie-breaker was used this year among those rides within .0005 WinPct
Numbers listed for 3 or 4 way tiebreaker indicate how many of the others tied that each beat among mutual riders.

The bottom of the poll was quite competitive this year. Not only did 'Fav Volare' edge out 'Goudurix'
for anti-hero, but there was also a serious contender for the title among the coasters that were not
included in the oficial results. Brean Leisure Park's 'Shock Wave' trailed 'Goudurix' 2 to 0 among
mutual riders but its 86 valid comparisons was short of the 275 needed for inclusion in the results.
'Dragon in Snowfield' looks to be a contender, losing all 112 valid comparisons, until it is seen that
it was leading about ten mutual rider comparisons by 2 to 0 or 2 to 1 margins.
M & D's 'Tornado', which edged Goudurix for the bottom spot in the 2009 poll by losing the mutual rider
comparison handily 6 to 1, was one of the rides that did not meet the updated criteria for inclusion this year
as it had only 187 valid comparisons against other coasters.
Below are coasters with fewer than 9 riders or fewer than 275 valid comparisons. The rank listed for each is
how they might have placed based on their WinPct if they were included in the official results.
The 275 valid comparisons requirement is new this year. It looks like 17 coasters that would have qualified
based on the number of riders did not have the required number of valid comparisons.
As always, attention should be paid to the Riders column and the Comparisons column. For example,
three coasters that were removed from the official results have no losses and no ties: 'Space Fantasy'
has only three riders and only 8 valid comparisons to other coasters in the poll.
A valid comparison is defined this year is one in which three preferences are recorded for one coaster
over another (e.g. a mutual rider vote of 3 to 0 or 3 to 1 is considered a valid comparison, but this year a vote of
2 to 1 is not considered a valid comparison).
'Fly Over Mediterranean' also had only three riders take the poll, but all three were very experienced,
each having ridden at least 159 steel coasters as 'F.O.M.' has 159 valid comparisons. The six voters
who had ridden 'Eagle's Fortress' are also very experienced riders on average, as it has 323 valid comparisons.
Mega-Lite's six riders were quite experienced on average whereas Formula Rossa's eight riders were less so.
