So with Lakeville defeating Elk River today the next time someone says "when was the last time Section 1AA won a game at state?" the answer is 3-12-04. Then again Elk River probably played the thrid goalie, rolled 4 lines equally and didn't care packing up and checking out of the hotel thi...

It's nice to see Albert Lea and Nystrom getting into the state touranment and it has been along time coming. Honestly, I don't see much hope for them against Breck. You can't say that Lourdes only lost to Breck by alittle bit and so and so beat so and so and AL matches up with Lourdes so it'll be a ...

Tier 1
When the state went to the tier 1 and tier 2 it was something that was pretty bad for high school hockey. Some teams were on the border of being the last seed in Tier 1 for sections or the first seed for Tier 2. So it would be like having to play Bloomington Jefferson in the opening round or play Fa...

In 2002, Holy Angels won the state tournament(as we all know) and they were the #3 seed in that section. Eastview and Apple Valley may be down this season but I don't know if I(in my opinion) would call the section "soft". <br><br>I think there is a lot of misunderstanding in this thread a...

"Petey is referring to AHA as having a soft section"<br><br>The all mighty Jaguars leave the section and it is soft. I think that section was the toughest in the state of minnesota for awhile (98-01) and some teams defected(namely Jefferson) but, it is still a tough section. Unless Apple V...

Since he's been mention earlier in this thread(or a thread very similar) Kevin Huck has been traded to the Sioux Falls Stampede and played in both games this past weekend. Last year he played 5 games for them and had to enter the draft because he didn't play 10 games which you need to be on the atta...

I saw a lot of those players who are on that list and Ben Borgen is the highest on the points list with 11 which puts him in 21 place. If you look at the points list you'll see that Tom Pohl and Danny Charleston who played Minnesota hockey but, also have a few years of USHL expierence have been much...

You got remember it's hard to be a plus when you team loses about every game. His team has lost the most games in the USHL and are off to a slow start. He's dressing in about every game and he's only a senior in high school. I guranttee that the expierence he is gaining losing games in the USHL is g...

I have seen Scott play quite a few times and I follow college hockey quite regularly and here is my .02 cents. Scott has exceptional skill and with the current loss of Jamie Hoffman it opens a door for him. It was very honorable for him to finish his senior year at Mayo but, I think it effected his ...

rink
I'm going to go back a few years and I know that this rink no longer gets used but, the old Breck rink. There was a slope in the ice on the vistors side and how the blue lines didn't match with the players bench at all. I haven't seen the new rink yet but, it was well needed. <p></p><i></i>
