Not making any excuses for last night but as far as long term implications to seeding, Forest Lake was down a senior defenseman and a senior forward, both injured during the Cretin game. Both are key on the pk, and their loss was felt throughout the game. I was very impressed by the Greyhounds, at l...

Pauletti resigned from Roseville. KMSP had an interview with him, he said he was tired of the BS from one family who accused him of "bullying" their son. My hockey playing son has said for many years that Jeff Pauletti is the best hockey coach he has ever played for. Coach Pauletti is the coach he ...

I have to agree, oldest gets first priority, and that's hard for parents with their oldest child in squirts to understand, but the high school age kids only have so many games left and you want to see as many as you can. We try to mix up our volunteering so that we are primarily with one kid or the ...

a point that has been emphasied this year is "Play the Puck first" so if a player is aggressive with the body and his stick is 6" off the ice he is no longer making an attempt to play the puck (assuming the puck is on the ice.) as an official it can be difficulty to assess the intentions of a playe...

I am sure that the roster is fairly fluid given all of the fall commitments these kids have. I had the opportunity to see the team once and on that occasion it was more than 50% 96s, with at least one 9th grader, and it was still a very good team.

FHIT - Herb Brooks Training Center - Blaine Velocity - Eden Prairie Lumberyard Hockey/Edge - Stillwater ProEdge Power - Diane Ness - SLP/Highland Accelaration - various locations extra - Bjugstad Shooting - Lake Elmo I'd agree with this list, plus the child humliation factor is 0% with each of them...

Gives new meaning to the 'parent mixer'. How do we go about recruiting an attractive Florida family for our association? Have you scheduled a couple more away tournaments? You'll have to get an evaluation sheet from the western suburbs that includes the column for ranking the mom 1-10. Which will m...

If a player (parents) start the waiver process, but along the way the waiver process is derailed - for this example, let's say the DD won't sign it - can the original associate refuse to accept the kid back? I am sure they cannot refuse the kid because he/she never actually waivered out, but if try...

This is the stupidest idea I have ever heard. Let's let the teams actually accomplish something before having the Dad's gloat about things. Rediculous I don't see any problem with team previews in an early season issue of LPH. As long as the focus is about the program and not individuals there isn'...

It was a tough sell with second year bantams that they should switch to the 'new apparel' when they thought they would get a second year out of the set they had. Than the association went with the same brand warmup, so we could get through a season or two with a slightly different logo. Now, I like...
