She is not on the girls team anymore she is on the boys so she is putting the team first, her new team. No boy who has left was thinking team first they were thinking about their development no different than this. Good luck to her, she is just looking out for herself like so many boys before her. ...

Great take in that boys leave to play (in other leagues to better themselves as hockey players) that really is all MR is doing improving her skills in a different league. Great take that should really end the discussion on this topic she is going to another league to better herself (just like in th...

That the tryouts were scheduled during the National tournament was a classic goof up and should not have happened. The other option for players participating in IIHF tournaments they can be added by USA Hockey using the at large appointments. Until the High school coaches took over there were no fr...

USA Hockey dictates how many spots Minnesota has at the National Camps. You can argue until you are blue in the face and that fact won't change. USA Hockey also has input into who makes it to the camps...don't let anyone tell you differently. Save your outrage for our national governing body, not t...

Interesting takes on the HP program. Greybeard, I think there is always a bias when it comes to tryout evaluations. Familiarity gives those evaluators confidence that what they are seeing is who the player really is. On the flip side, if you have never seen a player who has national camp skill....yo...

Hopefully we will see a coaching resignation. He has ruined Warroads reputation all in an effort to feed his own ego. Pretty evident when you hear the interview. Promoted his own to no end. I just got a chance to hear the interview and not knowing or seeing the staff before...I have a new found res...

You mean, do something that makes sense and is equitable , rather than allowing teams to advance to state simply based on being average and on the luck of their geography ? What a novel concept. Equitable? Cake not divided equally? Luck of our geography? You are saying the metro is underrepresented...

What does MV need to accomplish to be ranked #1? Record is 21-0-1. Quality class AA wins over Wayzata, Roseville, Stillwater (twice), Hastings and Elk River. I assume you are talking about the LPH rankings I think they should be more responsive given the weekly results. The rankers should penalize ...

Its geography and geography alone -- we already have a youth hockey system that favors metro at the expense outstate -- the mshsl champions their sports when they don't go BCS or PRO play-off systems on high school athletes I think we already have a form of the BCS system in place with our sectiona...

I hate to say it... but as far the Lake Conference is concerned, the Hockey programs at the respective schools had little input in the formation of the conference...it was the Football programs. The Wayzata's and Minnetonka's and EP couldn't get teams to play them. The Bloomington schools wanted out...
