I wonder why all of these Wisconsin kids drive right by Hill Murray on the way to STA? Why would they want an all boys millitary school that plays single A hockey? I also think STA costs about $5,000 more than Hill Murray. Certainly Novak could have played on Hill Murray team and saved a lot of driv...

STA could be in for a rough year next year if Novak leaves. Lose 12 or 13 seniors, including top goalie, and Novak and go up to AA.

I found the line of Novak, Johnson and Versich very interesting. Novak is getting a lot of attention and quite often draws more than one player to him. He has options to make plays as was shown against TG. And Versich is settling in as a more versatile player as well.

Elite league showcases individual talent to scouts. It is not about who plays the best team hockey. Appears most of the STA elite players do not possess the great individual talent like a Justin Kloos, but may possess enough good talent that when leveraged in a team environment with a pretty good co...

East sider, game was on TV so you could have watched it there.

38 shots a piece, 3-3 tie. Can't get much more even than that. First time Dougas or Zevnik have given up three goals this year I believe.

I think Edina will win but would be surprised to see more than 3 goals against such a strong defense and goaltender.

Will take Edina in a 2-0 game.

Low scoring game due to Tonka's strong defense and HM's Dougas. Could go either way and the winner will come away with a one goal win, maybe two with an empty netter.

If I had to pick I would say HM due to more blananced offensive power.

One says Hill dominated the entire game and another says STA dominated the whole game. I was not at the game but it sounds like it was a good game with both teams potentially showing fans they have some talent. I find it intriguing that again STA defense and goaltending shut down another potent offe...

HM 3-1. I also heard STA has two players out with concussions. I don't know who they are but supposedly two of there better players. STA just can't put the puck in the net against the better teams. And to score against Dougas, you need forwards in front of the net and crash for rebounds. Not a STA s...

Great game. Thought the refs made a few questionable calls and the no call at the end was amazing.

Tonka goalie not tested too much, STA needs to shoot the puck more. Shoot and crash the net.

Overall, a great game to watch on a Thursday night with no NHL!

Tonka by 3. STA will not be able to break the losing streak and Pagel is a tough place to play.

Sticking to the STA 2012 - 2013 team, way too early to suggest that they are better than a top 5 Edina team. I would say though that it was impressive to keep two explosive Holy Family skaters off the scoresheet. If I recall, Gersich and Peterson had no points. STA goal tending and defense seem to b...

I can't recall any team in Elite I history having 9 players from one team. Seems excessive.

The Schwans Cup curse lived another year. Thought DE had a chance to break the curse.

DE and Eagan will definitely have to rebuild over the next few years. Both programs losing too many seniors. Edina is really yound and would appear to have the significant edge for the team to watch next year.

I am curious about one thing, if STA has so many recruits and are so talented, reload every year with the best, why do these kids stay all four years? Two have left in the last 6 years. I doubt it is simply to trophy hunt. Many more kids are leaving other schools early. Look at Apple Valley. Colin O...

The 6-2 win over Blake and the one goal loss to TG shows that they can be competitive.

I still take Hermantown in this one but Lourdes has the potential to keep this one close. I say 5-2 Lourdes with a late open net goal.

Hill Murry will get the shut out. At least 4-0.

I find it intriguing that probably one of the best, if not the best, American born NHL players can't get kids to stay and play in Stillwater. What am I missing?

I watched the DE / STA game and Alex Johnson stood out. Rarely hear anything about that kid but he appeared to be one of the better kids on the ice that day.

I also think Sam Rothenstein (spelling?) is pretty strong player from Minnetonka that does not get enough credit.
