Re: red wing

While I didn't see the game it seems like people are making too much out of the score. It's not uncommon especially mid-way through the season for higher ranked teams to come into a game a little less focused while their opponants are always looking for the upset. Conference games in particular are ...

Re: Boys vs Girls

I agree, this is a no-win situation for Warroad, although I'm sure it will be fun and memorable for the kids.

The game sounds like it is asking them to play by girls rules - ie no checking which will be hard to adjust. They are playing THE best women's team in the nation, one that has been t...

This is gonna be a great game, best in Class A for 2 weeks. I'll take H'town here, by a goal.

These are probably the best two teams in class A.

Re: Are you guys kidding?

You dont know what you're talking about. I've seen them play 3 times. There top two lines are very strong, they can score against anyone. They probably wont beat AHA - who will? But they can certainly play with anyone in Class A.

Breck is good, Blake +/-, TG is good, SLP is probably the best ...

I'm not sure which team is "best" but I'm curious - what stats are the best indictor of a team's defensive effectiveness?

Goals against average is an overall indicator, obviously including goaltending.

Save percentage obviously is the best measure of goaltending.

Shots...

Re: Edina

Right, what I mean of course is that from the 500 kids in the program eventually 30 come out. The chances of those 30 being better than a community where they have 100 kids is - duh - 5 to 1.

That said, there is more to it than that. Obviously many programs have great amateur programs that re...

Re: Edina

THere's really no mystery here. Look at the size of the amateur programs - numbers wise, and you'll get a gooidea of where the top programs are going to be. Centenial is good now not because Centennial is "special", they just choose from many many more kids.

3 classes in hockey?

After the first third of the season, seeing some of the scores I've heard several people comment on the 2 class system. Obviously when you see a team like AHA so clearly dominate all of their opponants, teams like STA beat up on So Saint Paul - what 14 - 0 it makes you wonder if the current system w...

Nice win for the guys. Shakopee

Definately for real. I've had them in top ten for a week or two, this should remove or at least give pause to those doubters out there. Certainly can make a case for the best A team in southern Minnesota and that includes STA and Blake.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/...
