if you want competitive sections and not geographical sections put 2 or 3 private schools in each of the 8 sections.

Private school class A tournament. Small town class A communities can't compete with the private all star teams.

Question and Opinion.

If the MSHL did not allow private schools in the state hockey tournament,how would this effect the number of top end hockey players going to the private all star teams?

Who cares about the privates.recruiter city. Rank the small A schools. That is what A is intended. Small communities putting some quality kids on the ice with not a lot of depth. That's why some posts chastise A. I love small out state communities. Home town kids. Multi-sport athletes, not the Metro...

The way the penalty is implemented now is inconsistant and to big of a game changer.

I suggest giving the violater a 2 minute penalty which penalizes the team 2 minutes and add on an additional 5 which only penalizes the skater.

Marshall didn't recruit well that season.

Right now you see less and less small A public schools being able to compete with the privates.

That trend will continue.

A huge issue with out state kids as they don't have hockey opportunities year round and are multi-sport athletes. 1994 birth years. Some are seniors and some are juniors. I don't know how they pick the team.

My son played last year..average player..thought it was an honor...a lot of kids below his ability....he was disappointed by the competition.

Not a lot of the top HS kids playing.

Great opportunity for ice time and games.

He speared a player and rightfully ejected.

I support the coach in excluding him from the celebration.
