shots were pretty lopsided 10-1 for AV in 1st period and the whole game

Minnetonka scored 2 goals on 3 shots....good shots (low from point)
thru alot of traffic....

I was there...actually it was 3-1 OMG - an empty net goal at the end

AV lost to the OMG b1 team 2-1 in the Johnson Tournament
and lost to the OMG b2 team 2-1 in the Bloomington Tournament

what i didn't understand is how did Eagan Green lose to Lakeville South because we have played them 3 times and it's not even a contest in the 2nd game -lakeville south had 1 shot on goal in period 2 and 0 shots on goal in period 3 and it wasn't because they were missing the net - the whole game was...

now i see Sauk Rapids just beat Wayzata Blue ( 1st loss ) but Sauk Rapids lost to Elk River AV beat Elk River and i didn't think they were anything but really physical... so i think the old saying holds true on any given day - any one can beat anyone.... and it helps a little if the refs really stic...

Yes i think Eagan Green is pretty good - way better than some of the teams that are ranked.... I will say that both games .vs. Eagan were the 2nd games of the day for AV - we have kids that just do not have legs for that.... the 1st game at the Hopkins tournament - the officials called 11 penalties ...

their moms told one of our parents that we were sitting on their side !! they said we must not know hockey etitiquet ! lol I can attest to the mom thing. the inconsistency ( notice my login name ) is not a district issue it is the inconsistency across the whole state. Every team every where is playing in south,west,north,east districts every other night. I haven't seen a D6 game get out of hand in quite some time (years) but play in other random area...

certainly shots on goal is just a statistic.... but it might indicate who controlled the play, assuming of course one team doesn't have a ton of missed shots that were good scoring opportunities... but if you wish to only speculate 'team' rankings based on scores and records you certainly may do so....
