For 2010 Title
I see EP here given their past record here, however, don't rule out a Wayzata or Edina team. EP, if the Rau's return should be the favorite here with a healthy returning team of seniors and senior Ford in net. Edina will win their district. Blaine and Tonka lost a lot of seniors. If EP can get past ...

Re: Apple Valley's Michaelson Turns Down NTDP offer....
If A.J. Michaelson has a chance with Ann Arbor, he needs to go. Sorry, Apple Valley, but he needs to play at a higher level than high school, if he is that good. From MNHOCKEYHUB.com A.J. Michaelson, the Apple Valley forward ranked No. 1 on the Hockey Hub's list of the state's top 30 sophomores, has...

The Walters kid
Good for Ryan, I have watched this kid playing with my son in a number of off season affairs. This kid can finish. Probably a four year player at the U of M. Maybe needing four years to establish himselve, but a solid WCHA player. This is the type of player the U of M needs to compete at a higher le...

Berg is too small
The Berg kid might make a difference at the high school level, but is a typical small forward with a lot of skill. The high school level of play is totally different in that scoring goals as a sophomore or even junior level is very difficult. Unless you have a presents like a Kyle Rau being a flat ...

Not the DON yet
I think the DON has a large least, but is shorting as the team is falling. The "Don" needs to real in a recruitment of player that will actually committ to his four year program.

Sorry, I apologize, back when I played it was the United States Hockey American League, but that was a long time ago. Sorry, bad habit. I just wanted to bring out the fact that it is really tough to get a kid into the USHL. There are a lot of really good hockey players out there that just went colle...

Prior EP Captain's
Yes, I think EP has always named their captains and assistants way too early. Two years ago, they named a junior being Ericson as a captain and a senior being Alec Rush. This lead to kids like Jason Clark and Blake Thompson to leave the program and Alec Rush left to play at the USHAL level. I agree....

Thank you, this is where I am getting act.
I have had two kids that played in the GREAT 8. Nothing materialized with any D1 or even D3 level scouts. They have played at top level high school programs in the metro. Just to be asked to play in this tournament leave me to think these kids are slightly above average in their play. No takers, eve...

Walters kid.
I know Ryan Walters and his family. He needs to be a member of the Gophers team in 2010. This kid can score goals, something the Gophers are lacking and he will probably play four years here. How about Ryan Walters? He's in his third full season in the USHL. Granted, he's committed to the Gophers, B...

I'll give it up to Holy Cross, they did beat the gophers, but as an Air Force recruit, there is a further committment to the Air Force and just to play hockey for four years, but have to fulfill a further obligation to the Air Force?? Yes, one kid, lets see, 16 Sections, A and AA combined for THE GREAT 8, 15 kids per roster equals 240 skaters. At this point, one kid, please go to school and get educated to be an educated member of the working force to pay for my social security. Lakeviewing. matt niskanen? yeah but he aint that g...

Dear Halla
I would gladly provide the top high schools hockey teams to Class A and AA State Tournament. Where do I sign up? Here's my idea. Play out the regular season each year. Then when the regular season is finished, we'll have Lakeviewing draw up the sections in a way that will guarantee the top 8 teams m...

This years State Teams. Sorry, having Lakeville and Apple Valley team represent our top eight teams is a joke. First of all, these teams got their due to their section playoffs. Good for them, however, this is a poor thinking of evening section play offs is bad for attendence and thinking the MSL is...

THE GREAT EIGHT IS A JOKE
TRUST ME. A PARENT ALLOWING MY KID TO PLAY IN THE GREAT 8. THIS IS A JOKE. MOST SCOUTS ARE LOOKING FOR MAYBE ONE OR TWO KIDS TO PLAY AT A DIVISION THREE LEVEL. THIS IS NOT A DIVISION ONE LEVEL OF PLAY. IF YOUR SON HAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY IN THE USHAL LEVEL, FORGO THE GREAT 8. THE GREAT 8 DOESN'T ...

Thanks Trojanhorse.
This is all I am talking about. Sections need to be adjusted. We can't have two mid level Lake Conference teams of Apple Valley and Lakeville make the State Tournament just because they replay in a below average Sectional playoffs when teams like Jefferson, Eagan, Burnsville, EP, Wayzata, Hopkins ha...

Kind of like last year
Kind of like last year when EP won in OT. Hill deserved some credit in playing Tonka to the end. Hill pushed and Tonka was reeling back. I don't think they didn't give Hill enough credit here. Play like champions boys, take the 3rd place trophy and make us proud. Hell of a game, you are part of hist...

Gardiners Play

Yah, Go ahead with sub par section play
Come on man, the current sectional play is a joke. It is either Moorhead or Roseua or East or Elk out of the north. Okay, leave these sections to compete, but in the metro, this needs to be re organized. The Minnesota State Hockey Tournament needs to re-configure Section playoffs base upon metro ran...

Class A and AA Class
The Class A level of play should be for Out Metro teams competing for the State. It is unfair to have a private schools like Breck, Blake or St. Thomas competing in Class A. Outside teams like Alexandria, New Ulm, Litchfield, Hutchinson don't can a choose against the private metro schools. This need...

Lakeville and Apple Valley, great to get the State, but DO NOT represent TOP TEAMS. They play in a sub par Section that allows them to advance. Eastside, how does two subpar Lake Conference teams make the State Tounney. Common man. Lakeville and Apple Valley, Don't get me wrong, they won in their sections. A mid Lake Conference team vs a a Tonka team. This will be running time by the third period. Sorry, Lakeville got to the State based upon a poor Section.
