I heard this one kid, maybe a D1 prospect, might leave early or he might not. Rumor is he either plays for a metro or outstate team!
I heard the same but my sources will neither confirm nor deny.

Why even bother posting something so vague? Post details or just wait until it comes out.

What did Edina do to make such a jump? Not saying it's illegitimate at all but was their Bantam AA, JV, transfers...?

Does Hendrickson leaving mean Tonka's outlook will be even lower than the "not too early" look from Hockey Hub?

Re: The Gentry Academy Thread

The HS that I attended had a room with multiple, fully functioning kitchens in it that was used to teach Home Econ (an elective). I’m certain that there are schools in MN that do not have the resources to offer that same setting. So, should my school have had to eliminate those courses in the name ...

Everyone benefits? Everyone, that is, except the dozens of high schools who do not have an ice rink on their premises. Re: 2021-22 Coaching Openings

There is a west metro public school that makes Lakeville South look like peanuts. Hint, starts with M and ends with Tonka. They have been recruiting harder then most D1 schools for 10+ years. Recruit to have the player come into program as 8th or 9th grader, sometimes younger, thus flies under the ...

Re: The Gentry Academy Thread

Neither one of you addressed anything I stated - you're just tossing out platitudes to justify a narrative you're stuck upon. Of course more ice time = more experience. No one would argue otherwise. But what is truly being suffered on a competitive level nationally from all the skaters not attending...

Re: The Gentry Academy Thread

Every school (except yours, I guess) has a gym. Most don't have ice rinks. I don't believe you are well equipped for the future. My guess is that a few established high schools mimic Gentry. Bounced this off a couple people I trust and they concur. People can't have it both ways. Minnesota hockey c...

Re: Section Realignment

I'm taking these "leaks" with a ton of salt. Great assessment. I think it should be pretty easy to get this section together: Benilde Chaska Eden Prairie Edina Holy Family Maple Grove Minnetonka Wayzata After all, these towns are right next to each other. For the most part they are, although Chaska...

Re: The Gentry Academy Thread

WOM. I appreciate the level response and you clearly get it. The main point I am making is that public schools and youth hockey associations are often the driving force behind the success of privates/charter due to the shenanigans and failures within their own structure and operations. People want ...

Re: Hill-Murray Update

Let's all be thankful we got the season we got. In most other countries, there were no youth sports this winter. They didn't try. Last winter, Paige Bueckers had her season cancelled the night before the state title game. Jalen Suggs didn't get the chance to play at all. Life goes on and they're ha...

Slapshot . Most high schools were distance learning the whole year . Your specific thoughts on how some players parents and coaches care more about kids education than others? What outcome based comparisons do you have ? Just some thoughts . So now people are trashing kids, players, and coaches . R...

This whole episode has made me like HM a lot more - the MSHSL are a bunch of bums for trying to keep them out . #-o Yes, the MSHSL is specifically trying to keep one of its biggest brands, who also happen to be the defending champs, out of its crown jewel event. (Sarcasm, in case it wasn’t obvious)...

Re: The Gentry Academy Thread

How is this different from Hermantown? From what I gather school is quite secondary to hockey at Gentry. Players don't transfer to Htown from all over just to get in on their great algebra program. :D It's still mostly school first and you'll never see me express admiration for Htown taking in tran...

Re: The Gentry Academy Thread

Look, the bottom line is Gentry should not be allowed to exist in the MSHSL. It is no secret that their entire existence revolves around recruiting kids specifically to play hockey at their school. EVERYONE knows it. Elite prospects says a lot of kids on their roster come from out of state, as far ...
