Re: Josh Luedtke commits to Denver

Good for him but bummer for this Tonka/Gophers fan as this likely reduces Bob flipping Brink and I don't get to see too many DU games.

Who (Tonka) did they miss? They answer is:

Flake
Cambridge[Isanti
St, Francis
I wasn't really being serious with that - just joking how many NC games are against teams from that section/class.

Re: Alaska goalie transfering to Edina

Has anybody heard about a high school junior from Alaska transfering to Edina? This is at least the 3rd year in a row an outstate player has transfered to Edina. Public schools obviously recruit. Minnetonka and Edina doing everything they can this offseason. Minnetonka had 1 player on the roster la...

Tonka: Will have Little drop off on D, but they won last year because they had three GREAT lines and a very good 4th. They still have perhaps the best top line in the state, but I’m not convinced their summer recruits will do enough to replace their level of depth from last year. Sounds like Brink ...

Braemar is one of the world’s great venues. It is amazing how well it has aged. Virtually unchanged and tradition-rich as a result. Anyone that doesn’t recognize Braemar’s greatness is kidding themselves. Some of the comments here are laughable. Headed there now. Did anyone here really knock it?

The tap on the shoulder goes a lot further than you’re giving it credit for. It opens up the communication lines entirely between coach and player and the players family. The way I read it, The only thing the new legislation does is prohibits that contact and communication from taking place on Camp...

Will the legislation be effective for hockey? I'm a bit skeptical it will do much to move the needle. The coaches can still contact the kids by having a friend tap on dads shoulder and saying "coach wants you to call him". There may be some situations where a kid needs the visit to make a decision ...

I don't have a clue? Let's look at your beloved regular season Big 10 championships. They won 4 in a row. Any chance they win 4 consecutive regular season championships in the NCHC? I don't think so. Possibly not but they did win the last 2 of the former WCHA. Additionally it's pretty short-sighted...

What you'll find is that Minnesota has had very few forwards that become big scorers in the NHL. The ones that do generally come from "lesser" programs where they grew up shouldering the scoring load. Jamie Langenbrunner, Brock Nelson, Trent Klatt (one 20 goal season, does that count) are guys that...

Not completely unexpected if true, but you would think he could wait for his Sr. year to make this move. They have a good chance to compete next season for a repeat especially with what's in the pipeline to replace their Seniors. On top of that have to wonder why he isn't following his dad to campus...
