They have tenders to sign players before the draft and try-outs too. I'd also venture to guess they have some players who can probably make the NAHL on their current squad.

A COLLEGE event in CANADA is pretty much all you need to read to understand this is not a good investment. Personally, I would take half of that money, use it on NAHL and USHL tryouts to 1. get your name out there to junior coaches 2. get a feel for what the next level is like and 3. play some good ...

Well at one point all of these teams WERE in the same league. Spooner, Little Falls, Granite City, TC Steel all were in the MNJHL a few years back. Spooner left for the SIJHL and the following year, the other 3 left for the NA3HL. Now you add in Owatonna, Alex, Breezy Pt into the mix, if you ask me ...

The main thing I don't get is why are they wasting a tender on him? No offense to the kid but he can barely even put up a point a game as a 93. Also, I'm sure they could have just brought him to main camp and given him a spot and no one would have been the wiser. If this gets out to the general publ...

I'd say the league itself is on par with other tier III leagues (NA3HL or MNJHL). The Wilderness on the other hand would dominate those leagues just like it dominates the SIJHL

Well on facebook, Scott Krueger likes 2 different junior hockey teams. The Minnesota Magicians and North Iowa Bulls. And then this was posted on the NA3HL website http://na3hl.com/news/story.cfm?id=7643 So I'm going to assume they are somehow related or else that's just a very, very, very big coinci...

This looks like its just another case of dad buying a junior team so his kid can have a place to play. The main owners last name is krueger and he is from prior lake. Is it just coincidence that the first player they signed is krueger from north Iowa NA3HL who also is from prior lake??? As for atten...

I counted 8 players on MIAC and NCHA teams from the SIJHL. So unless USCHO.com is slow to update their rosters too, this league does not send many kids to college hockey. BTW I'm not bad mouthing the league, Spooner has had some good teams in the past 2 years but I'm just calling it as I see it. The...

It's a Canadian Tier II league and I say that with real skepticism. Most of the teams charge players money to play so it's essentially a tier III league that calls itself tier II. For the most part, it is on par with the NA3HL or MNJHL and if you look at their advancement lists, they are pretty unre...

The northern lights have had Ben Henne, Eric Shand and Alex O'Leary play games in the NAHL this year after they were playing for the lights. Hudson's Eric Loasby was moved up to Coulee Region 2 months ago and is still there. The fact is the mnjhl is providing players the opportunity to move up to th...

You're right. I guess they aren't the same old wildcats. I was completely wrong. You take 7 former wildcats (8th place), add in 4 Lakers (4th place) and that gives you a top end team in the na3hl. I was assuming that the other teams in this league would do a good job of putting a quality product on ...

I know that Hudson in the MNJHL has former players on the teams at U-W River Falls, U-W Superior, U-W Stevens Pt and Plattsburgh State. Those are all top notch programs.

Certain Tier III teams do a good job at developing and preparing players for the D-3 level.

If you would like more proof to the fact I believe this league is weaker than the mnjhl just look at the players of the week. The first stars for the first 2 weeks are both former mnjhl players. The goalie of the month LJ Dworak who was Rochester's back up last year and now he is at the top of most ...

I think they've done well but they aren't playing a tough schedule. Most of their wins are against Quad City. Quad City wasnt even dressing 20 players at the beginning of the year. They've beaten division leading Chicago but almost of Chicago's losses are to teams in the north division including las...

Well here is your proof that the new Vadnais team is the same old Wildcats. They have 4 former Wildcats in Blake Koosman, Gavin Runberg, Shane Fabian and Tony Folk. They recruited some of the bottom players in the MNJHL in Evan Weiss (a 3rd string goalie from the lakers 2 yrs ago) and Ike Smith (who...

Well they seem to be up to date with their advancements on their website. So if I can look at who didn't move on and if most of those players came back, I think they will have a solid year. They could return their leading scorer in Nick Townes who if he came back, I think could be one of the top 3 p...

The Energy have the same coaches and GM. They have new owners.

The Twin City Steel are owned by Stu Ronsberg and his group that operated the Wildcats.

Just wait til the na3hl season starts and you'll see they are the same old wildcats.
