Lakeville North 11-1 in last 12 games Farmington 8-4 in last 12 Goalie: even Defense: Farmington Forwards : North Coaching : North Farmington will not go 3-0 vs North this year North needs to stay out of the box, roll top 5 fwds, protect the goalie. Farmington needs lots of power plays, not going to...

EP is 5-5-2 in last 12 Games. Not exactly peaking! PL is 10-2 over the same stretch Goalie : PL Defense: EP Forwards : EP Coaching: EP On paper this game should belong to EP. PL has to stay out of the box and play Def. Scites could steal this game. EP has to just play EP game and stay out of the box...

LN and BSM play to a 4-4 tie. LN really pushed the pace in 3rd period and OT. Ryan Poehling could be best player in MN. I have now seen every team in Karl's top 15 play at least once and I will say this, I think its a 4 team race to win state between BSM, Lakeville North, Blaine and EP. We will see...

Re: Stillwater - Lakeville North
Can anyone who was at the game provide some insight as to what happened? Did the Lakeville North goalies just have a bad night? Was Stillwater just waiting for the perfect shot and sniping the corners perfectly? Was the game reporting wrong and did Stillwater actually take 32 shots instead of 12 to...

Congrats and best of luck this season. Will be watching at the Turkey Trot. ( I have to say I didnt see this one coming so early, and for life of me cant understand why I havent seen Aamodt or Smallidge name pop up yet on the D commit list. You would think both have to be imminent?) Aamodt can go w...

Nothing set in stone yet with edquist, just as there wasn't with Max but you all seem to have the answers! Regardless if Eddy leaves or not LN will have a solid stopper. Mark my words. Word at Pan-O-Prog was, if you cant get the Lakeville South goalie to come North your going to make a big offer to...

Roster Observations
Observations 1. How did section 7 get 10 kids into the 54s from the losers side of the bracket and going 1-2 in the tournament? 2. How did section 2 which won the tournament going 3-0 only get 6 skaters? 3. How does Section 6 from the losers side of the bracket get 7 players? 4. How did Section 5 th...

Doubt it would have made much difference. 90% of the LN kids listed would have still made it. Based on they made the cut in the hp last years? You know there are baseball and lacrosse out there. Previous years are irrelevant. Just like a stud pee wee doesnt always turn into a stud Bantam and a same...

The only thing I wonder about Lakeville is if they will be rusty. Yes, they had a very challenging schedule, but recently it has not been as tough. They have played Prior Lake, Burnsville, South and Farmington, but those teams are not top tier really. North has not played a team as good as Hill in ...

Re: Does the North have an inferiority complex?
The North is 'ALL NORTH', whether they're underdogs or not. In the Cities, only Edina likes Edina. Everybody roots against them. Same for E.P., Hill, St. Thomas, Breck, etc. Why doesn't the rest of 7AA not HATE ON DE in the same manner? The Citiots will be rooting for Bemidji the loudest this tourn...

Not sure if Prior Lake or Cretin is the biggest underachieving team in the last 4 or 5 years. Two big disappointments. Totally agree, how can PL have success at the youth levels but do nothing at the High School level? They have quality players but their high scoring wide open hockey peewee and ban...

They were actually 67-12 on the scoreboard, but all game films are reviewed and SOG, +/-, goals, assists, etc are finalized by designated person from LN to make sure no mistakes were made, as we all know the clowns in the box are too busy eating hot dogs and refreshments from concession stand vs ac...

6-2 final over shakopee. Shots were 71-12. Not a typo. Shots were 63-12 on the scoreboard.......still a heck of a lot of shots and the Shakopee goalie played well into the 3rd period but someone padded them by 8. They were actually 67-12 on the scoreboard, but all game films are reviewed and SOG, +...

Yeah GR needs more hype since they haven't had much yet this year. They are the best 4 and 3 team in the state and they easily could have beaten LN had they only scored 4 more goals. Definitely top 10 team. They beat powerhouses Forest Lake, Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl and Roseau! If it was ...

Duluth East junior Luke Dow has been ruled eligible by the MSHSL and can suit up for the Hounds' varsity squad tonight. They' not big transfer fans at Edina. They don't like displacing life long residents for spots on the team. Historically, never entirely comfortable for the player or family. Dad moved there to get his boy on a State tournament team. Lakeville North was also on his short list. If it does not work o...
