1. The head Varsity coach does not have to be the person Running the administrative aspect of the camp. They can concentrate on curriculum and coaching. The Youth hockey arm can run the camp and hire the coach for his services. 2. The IRS??? What??? Last time I checked, when you run a business right...

They have been wanting religion ever since Gene Campbell retired. Under Ness, Haskins, and now Gill we have seen the faith of these previously public school kids get so strong that they wish to pursue an education that allows them to become stronger in that faith.

More complex? You are kidding me right. Last time I checked the kids still have zits and girl problems. I am not asking for the coaches to be overly involved. All I want is to have the head coaches institute THEIR program and systems to the coaches within the appropriate arm. Then head up their prog...

The Rochester High School coaches are not so consumed with their teams, they have no ownership of a program . I have seen Coach Glass, the storied Lourdes Girls B-Ball coach(multiple state championships) at all levels of youth basketball games and practices. He runs a summer camp just for Lourdes gi...

Split Youth Program or One A Team?

My 2 Cents: I am from Rochester. The city is now over 100,000 in population. There are 3 public High Schools and one private school with ice hockey programs. RYHA in its current state fields a Bantam A1, a Bantam A2, a Bantam B1, a Bantam B2, and 4 Bantam C teams. Peewee A1, Peewee A2, 3 Peewee B t...

I predict Lakeville to win the section....just kidding....however, I guarentee that if one of the Lakeville schools goes up there and goes 2 and out, the MSHSL is going to look long and hard at realigning 1AA. They might toss a Rosemount and or a B-ville back in there, maybe even an AHA. How would y...

Sometimes a JV can be solid and then sort of flat line or plateau due to the constant moving of players in and out of the lineup to fill in the Varsity roster for injuries, etc... With that said, the question should be: WHich JV that plays all of its players for development is the best? There are a ...

Throwing pucks on the ice during play???

Anybody else have this crap happen during a game? During the Roch Mayo vs. Roch Century game some dingbat from the crowd threw a puck on the ice during a Century scoring chance. Ref blew the whistle seconds before the puck is shot and goes into the Mayo net. All of the Century backers are pissed now...

Last time I checked, the schedule has Mayo playing vs. Lakeville South on Saturday at 2:30, not Century....so pipe down Yahalugi!

First, what a horribly officiated game. No consistancy, 1 ref called 10 of the 12 penalties and 7 of the 8 on Century, all but Maddens cheap shot with 5 seconds left in the game. How bad was it? #9 from Mayo was down tangled up with a Century kid and the whistle was blown for an injury to #9, after...

These two teams are a blast to watch! I am very excited to watch this game on Saturday. I have a feeling that having a neutral site(no homer refs), soft Rec Centre ice(bad for the MW danglers), and a Pro-AL(rochester likes AL better) crowd will work against Mankato West and for Albert Lea. I pick Al...

1 AA chances at State based upon how the top 5 seeds fared vs. Top 20 teams: Lakeville South & Mayo - If they face a Roseau or Edina in the forst round, dones-ville. If they face anybody else, they could pull an upset and/or possibly go 3 games in the consolation round. Lakeville North, Owatonna...
