goldy313 You're really making a stretch to relate that statement here. You say you saw a team cut a group of 3rd line seniors for some sophomores who weren't nearly as good? And to top it off those sophomores didn't even try out? And then you go on to say that the team IS worse off if they do...

You need to look at this from the coaches perspective. Yes we know the coach has had some "issues" with parents for cutting seniors or whatever the case may be. He has been there for a number of years and has had a few state tournament appearances by taking young groups and building them u...

Matt Cooper will be the best goaltender in 7AA this year for a few reasons. He is tested and had a good season in 7AA last year, he has the best defense by far in 7AA in front of him so he won't have too many tough shots a game every night, and he's big, mobile, and athletic. He's a good goalie and ...

No, not really. I work during the early mornings and the paper isn't here by when and I figured I'd look online on this board. But at least I get to be done at work by 2PM.

So are you going to answer the question about Rob Johnson or should I wait for someone else to?

Congrats Derek, For those interested. I have spoken to a number of NHL scouts about Forbert and they all say GREAT things about him and expect him (barring injury and something freakish happening) that he may well be drafted in the top 10 in the NHL Entry Draft come his draft year. I thought this wa...

I'm back after a little break... Duluth East will really have to have something horrible to happen this year for them not to win it. They have it all in the 4 areas that matter: Offense, defense, goaltending, and coaching. Lot's of pressure on the boys this year but they will be up to it, finally. L...

Keep in mind, the Ice Dogs last goalie, Reiter, made it to D1 with UMD with a lot less "hype" as Joe. Personally, Joe has a TON of work to do but with time who knows what could happen. Good luck Joe.

After the combine the two biggest news stories are as follows: -Ness being mentioned in The Hockey News about his impressive showing at the combine which has boosted him to be a "lock" for the first round. A surprise a little for myself. Aaron is a GREAT player and I think will have a grea...

boblee I agree ever since watching Slavik and Martell play I felt that Slavik was a superior player. Many times he was left out to dry by Martell (especially their senior season together). Slavik is/was a much better skater, passer, and defensive defenseman. I hope a school will take a chance on him...

They never looked at him seriously. For whatever reason Sadnelin wasn't a fan even if his assistants were. The only time he was ever a "guest" of the Bulldogs was when he and Drew LeBlanc visited together a while back.

Gerry- The thing about Max is that RIGHT NOW (and why he was picked for a tryout for the NTDP) he has a lot of natural abilities but he is very raw. Also, this year he grew so much more than the last time I'd seen him play in bantams and growing that much in a couple year span is a lot for your body...

Hey just keep it fresh in your minds that it took Jake until about half way through his junior year to come into his own as a player. Max will be a junior this season and maybe he will hit full stride and we will see what he's really capable of.

wannagototherink To get this out of the way I am not a player for East or a parent of anyone playing for East. I do agree and know for a fact that this issue really was the sole reason for tearing the team apart, if you will. I wouldn't expect anything different, especially because I know Terry and ...
