Remember this in regards to the whole C issue from last season. The players on the TEAM voted the player attending HM captain and the coach stood by their choice. It ultimately cost him his coaching position (I believe he now coaches for WBL Bantams). I know Mark and Jon (co coaches last year Banta...

Let me ask you this Tyrell, if 3 kids show up at Stillwater Bantam A tryouts and are clearly the #1, 2 and 3 skaters at the tryout, but played for a team like the FIRE the year before and are enrolled at Hill Murray, in your opinion would these players be selected for Bantam A in the traditional me...

Re: Registration quesion

Didn't Housley F up that program last year when his kid wasn't chosen to be captain by his teamates, but instead a Hill Murray kid? Then after demanding his son wear the C, ended up pulling his kid and making him the JV C at the high school? No, Housley didn't F anything up. His son didn't get picke...

I'm confused, on when the youth hockey association was ever part of the school district. Maybe all the players thinking of attending a private school should get out of the youth program, they wouldn't be playing high school at stillwater, so they shouldn't play either. Oh, wait - free country. We ge...

Easy answer, provide a program that fills the needs. If your kids are walking, there must be a reason. Why do parents send a kid to a private school to begin with? They don't trust the public system to properly school. Does that mean public schools aren't safe or able to educate? NO - but if the gra...

I appreciate the offer, but I'll have to say no. It would take lots of time and money to get that program back up off the floor.

allrighty,
numbers are great, but I've never had easy games against Roseau or Warroad. Neither town has more than a fraction of the population.

Look at the Johnsonpres who posts on here, he's maybe got an IQ in the 60's, but he sounds smarter than you guys.

Re: Johnson Prez

This was Southwest's dilemma two years ago (as well as Saint Louis Park who were planning to field NO teams at the "A" level one year ago). Our top "A" players were leaving for "AAA" (we lost 5 or 6 two years ago...only one this year) , our top bantams were being picke...

2. RESIDENCY RULE A. Youth hockey players must play within their “natural hockey community” as defined by Minnesota Hockey. If a player desires to play on a team outside of the players “natural hockey community”, the player must obtain written permission (waiver release) from the president of the go...

Tuna,
which team scrimmaged Tartan? I know the coaches for the peewee teams at Tartan and they didn't play Como yet. How did you loose 10-0?
Maybe you should sober up before you get on line.

I agree on one point, getting everyone to the perfect place PROBABLY won't happen, or most likely will never happen. But I disagree to say that getting each player at the "right level" isn't a reasonable goal Thats what coaches should be looking to do when they make lineups. If you aren't ...

Look at this from an educational standpoint (school that is).

If a student is above the level of learning in a classroom, then the student needs to be placed into the right situation.

54, I think the answer is yes. But it usually lies in the "A" players associaiton that won't waiver them out. They would rather keep the kids on a "B" team. I really like the way you guys have put this problem into a solution. If you don't have an A team, get the A players on an ...
