Re: Casey Mittelstadt crying after loss to Grand Rapids

Looked like Mittelstadt didn't take the Grand Rapids loss to well. Channel 45 shower him on the bench crying and balling his eyes out. Very unfortunate he won't finish his high school career with a championship. Kids do this on every team after a loss at the tournament. Why is this even a topic of ...

The state has given millions of dollars to Rochester, Mankato, Duluth, St. Cloud, etc for convention centers.....which also hold high school sports. They should renovate the Coliseum making it a ~4000 or so seat arena capable of hosting both hockey and basketball tournaments (the metro is also lack...

Ridder would be no better. It's further for most teams involved. Parking is a hassle and not free and the capacity is no better. Mariucci has the same issues except capacity but then add the Olympic ice and trying to schedule with the other sections that play there and possibly getting less than opt...

If I'm not mistaken the only time WBL has beaten hill in recent history is at the section game a few years back. As much as I hope for a WBL win I don't have a lot of confidence that it will happen.

The mobile site is horrible as well which is somewhat important if you want to check stats or schedules while you're at a game.

Its about a mile north of the 694 ring. It's not that far out. Eight minutes north of downtown st paul and less than a mile further out from downtown mpls than braemar, and the distance from the northwest burbs is negligible.

High school student sections and bands all seem to do the same thing as eachother. They really need some originality.

I used to like the games at Hibbing, but Duluth is such a nicer city. I don't really get all the complaints from the southern schools. Amsoil Arena, the most scenic city in Minnesota. You drive for what, 3 hours in a warm car? It's not like it's a 4 day trek riding a donkey in -30 temps. Not to men...

I was looking at the WBL schedule on Hockey Hub and noticed there is no WBL-Hill-Murray game on the schedule. Is this right?

WBL v Cloquet

They're scheduled to play Friday at Vadnais. What time is the game actually supposed to start? Hockey hub says 2:15 and the MSHSL site says 7:15.

I really wouldn't call that a brawl. There was only a few guys from each team involved. Was more of a little scuffle to me.

3400 seats then they also have standing room...
