Re: North vs. South

I think the South did very well in these early season match ups.

Again, it's either in town or a handful of hours to the south/southeast...either way? Both mascots begin with a 'B'.

So we are thinking
Bulldogs
Badgers
Bravericks
Buskies
or
everyone' favorite (or least)
Bolden Bophers
Row the Boat

Re: Gophers 2018 - 2019

I don't get it. How can these kids not give a damn and be lazy so often? One night they will work their tails off and look like a good team. The next night they coast around and look like they could care less. I guess it comes from the leaders. What do you expect when your captains are the biggest o...

The lack of St. Cloud State recruits concerns me. There's one at least, but there should have been four. :(

Gophers 2018 - 2019

Went to the game on Sunday night and came away very impressed. A new era has begun and lets hope its as successful as Sunday.

Much more aggressive approach from what I've seen over the last few years.

Congrats coach Motzko on a tremendous start to your new adventure!

I wish BB the best. I wonder if him being down in juniors for a month and a half after the season and being a healthy scratch in crowd had any bearing on his decision to not play Juniors this year or next year. Kind of a screw you guys mentality and that escalated him to Gophers. I saw that two Way...

One last piece of logic I will point out from a previous post that makes no sense. You said the Bulldogs winning the championship is evidence of the conferences being so close. Are you sure that isn't evidence of how deep the NCHC is with quality teams instead?  Your killing me. Reading ...

Stay tuned? Others? The only other two D1 spots open right now.....that I am aware of....is Alaska-Fairbanks and Alaska-Anchorage. Seems like all the initial candidates for Anchorage, aside from one, have backed out. Fairbanks is not looking that attractive to many either. I don't necessarily see a...

If butts in the seats is any measure, the Big 10 is a B1G Mistake. And i don't care to hear this condescending crap that I should "get over it and move on." If my favorite restaurant changes the menu and no longer serves my favorite dishes, I get over it by moving on to another establishment. I get...

Some thoughts from a Gopher Alum who has been a season ticket holder since 1984. 1. Declining attendance for college hockey is not just here at the UofM. It's everywhere. Have you watched any of the regional tournaments in the past 3 years. Nobody goes to them. 2. Wisconsin hockey attendance had a n...

I would like to congratulate him on an awesome career and thank him for all of the great memories and wish him the best in the future. NO. It was the year of running the goalie and see if the refs had the balls to call a penalty.

To very physical teams. Should be a good game. But how many soft goals will the Tonka goalie give up? If he plays well, I think Tonka will win. If he doesn't, then its DE.

I think Tonka will need better goaltending to beat DE. It astounds me how many weak goals are being scored in this tournament. On the other side, the Cent and DE goalies played great.

Congrats hounds. They dictated play and ended up winning the game. It doesn't hurt that: Their goalie was better than Edina's. The refs didn't call anything which helped DE physical play. Edina hit the post which would have made it a 2-0 game and then DE goes down and scored during the same shift. D...

The question none of us will be able to answer is why the official waved it off in the first place. I thought it should have been a good goal the first time I saw it and in every replay that they showed. The goalie never had control of the puck and it went in off of an oncoming player. My only thoug...
