Nice call on the winner Mule.mulefarm wrote:Very evenly matched teams, BSM has the intangiable and that is Pauly. He is one of the top 5 coaches in Mn and has been in these situations numerous times and that is why BSM wins 5-3, last one an empty net.

Re: the real issue
Are you cracked? The coach told him if he goes there would be consequences. So he goes and gets the boot. That is the way life works and it should send a message. Why didn't he wait a few weeks until after the season. This was bad planning/advice or pressure from the WHL. Thank you for this quote! ...

He had one of his usual episodes.... Two players got entangled after a play and fell behind the net. Both got up, #3 on Benilde shoves the EP player into the boards and skates away- no penalties assessed either way. Pauly puts one foot on the boards and screams for the ref to come over and starts y...

Just to bring up to speed. This posted by HockeySLP PostPosted: Wed Feb 06, 2013 4:26 pm Being an SLP guy, I am not a fan of Baer leaving our program for BSM, but Pauly is an ass on this one. Alec went to Vancouver to visit the WHL, and called Pauly to let him know he was going to miss a practice. ...

Saturday was just 0ne of those nights when everything went in the net and nothing went in against you. Sometimes momentum just keeps rolling. Benilde had over 90 shot attempts compared to around 40 for Wayzata , look for more of those pucks to find the back of the net Thursday. Wayzata will sell ou...

Re: medal
I'm having a hard time understanding the anger directed at MSHSL. Jablonski was not on the roster, is not a coach or student manager. Why should he be in the team photo or be part of the on ice celebration? It would make as much sense to open the doors and let the fans stream onto the ice. If it wa...

Why not go to the USHL? He won a AA State Championship and scored 5 goals in the final. Got nothing left to prove and there won't be a better way to go out. #16 on H-M was a hack all game. I said early in the game he was bound to get into something with the way he was looking for confrontation afte...

What was the look Besse gave Newhouse (#6) after the game was over. They hugged each other, seperated a bit while holding each other in their arms, didn't say anything, and just looked into each other's eyes. It totally creeped me and the 6 other straight guys I was with while we watched the game. ...

definitly not the best in the state. not hard to score when you float all game. against edina he was not as good as Horn for Benilde and Hurley for Edina He wasn't floating on any of the 5 goals he scored last night Mr. Green (with envy). Sure he should have passed the puck on that 2 on 1 but your ...

It will be interesting to see what the TV ratings and overall attendance of the tournament this year. I would think it's going to be down. Not much interest in the final. That is the problem with privates, no hometown = no hometown fans. The only kids dreaming of playing for HM or Benilde hav...

I'm cheering for Jack but not for Benilde...if that makes sense. I find it sickening to see how all of a sudden everyone believes that BSM is such a clean, good-natured school and that they should be the favorite. What happened to the numerous threads about Sir Ken Pauly and his emotional breakdown...

Lou Nanne has been a great ambassador for the game of hockey in this state for decades. I remember in the 70's Louie would go out to the different youth orginizations and pose with the various teams for pictures and he was just a class act all the way. The guy had two grandsons on the Edina team so ...
