NW 24 MIN 17 FINAL I've seen the Gophers blow a three touchdown lead late, I've seen the punter drop a snap in the final seconds, I've seen Drew Brees drive the length of the field in 20 seconds, I've seen them blow the biggest halftime lead (which led to Mason's firing) in College Football history ...

The Gopher D has no answer for the QB's legs but fortunately the 'Cats elect to pass once in a while.

Weber and Co. currently driving after the big pick.

#22 NW, #23 Kansas have already fallen, #21 BYU and #17 Pitt are also in trouble.

The Gophers will be moving up in the polls.

Can the D hold.

Through 54 minutes they've surrendered 6 points. Will they allow a quick strike TD right after the lead was stretched by Weber and Co.

The ESPN producer could zoom in their line of scrimmage camera just a bit. I don't need to see from the 20yd line to the 20 yd line every play.

Of the five stupidest penalties/infractions/fouls I've ever seen at any level of sports, the Gopher Defense has three of them.

#44 Hightower needs to go away.

Hey, how 'bout doze Gophers? If PB could go back in time I'm certain the thread would read " Hay , how 'bout doze Gophers" Well enough of the Hay thing, it didn't work out all that well for the Twins. Anyway, October is almost gone and our favorite D-I football squad still only has one lo...

Why the Gophers O-coordinator consulted Darrell Bevell and Brad Childress for Redzone advice is beyond me.

Ok, some of the blue seats are disappearing behind people, the crowd now resembles the Michigan spring game. No, not the Michigan, Western Michigan.

Chokio-Albe............I mean the Gophers took the opening kickoff, chewed up 2/3rds of the quarter and rattled a FG attempt off the post.

This is a huge game for these teams, this is their one and only rip at an '08 Big Ten win.

I would like to announce that the Gophers are playing the Hoosiers right now. It must be the best kept secrect in the history of the Metrodome and the University of Minnesota because the players, referees, coaching staffs, cheerleaders, and chain gang outnumber the number of people in the stands. Fo...

Solutions for the log jam in the outfield 1) Move Cuddyer back to 3rd. The Twins were 12th in the AL in fielding this year so it is now a myth that the Twins are a superior defensive team rendering Cuddyer infsufficient for the Twins' Hot Corner. 2) Trade Delmon 3) Trade Gomez 4) Trad Span Analysis...

Thanks CNT. After the Twins went quietly in the 9th I did go unfurl Jolly Roger just to see how he made it through the summer, he's a little tattered and torn but will certainly be sea worthy and battle ready when the time comes. A few final thoughts on some of the high, lows, and defining moments o...

There is also no doubt that Balckburn is on a short leash. If balls start flying out , he will be out of there. Who'll be the cavalry? Liriano is my choice, he's had three days since he threw 85 pitches. Liriano is the only one capable of hanging enough zeros to buy some time for the offense to mak...

The '98 Cubs/Giants had a play-in and the standings have both of them at 163 games so it looks like a game Tuesday would be the final regular season game. I don't see Detroit doing much against the Sox tomorrow. Tuesday's game will come to fruition and the Twins will need to find a way to win on the...
