Let me guess. Your from lesuer or lacrescent. Only if that or this would have gone different. Only if the big nine didn't gang up on us! Get over it!! The better teams advance!!! First, I'm from the metro so I have no dog in the fight. Second, based on your continued abuse of the English language I...

I remember there being a log of talk about how the seedings were not right. Well the seeding committee did a pretty damn good job. They have hit every matchup. I give the committee a virtual high five on that. Maybe, but I could argue that as close as the games were a bye or home ice may have made ...

Too much hockey down the stretch to decide things. There is NO dominant team in the section. The fact that comparing West/Le Sueur's opponents winning percentage (removing multiple wins) slightly favors LS, and head to head LS beat West can not be understated. West (or anyone else in the section) sh...

I do believe they announce a team from the Great 8 that is selected to play again in a senior showcase?? In some years past it was held in Chicago. Now in Plymouth. Does anyone know if they have announced the team?? They have not been announced but the list is out and players have been notified. If...

For all you bleeding hearts....STA is playing by YOUR rules. YOU were the ones who wanted multiple classes. Now they play by YOUR rules and you don't like it. Keep coming up with excuses. I am also glad they didn't shake hands for the multiple time after the game. Isn't shaking hands after the game ...

Bruce is the biggest whiner I have seen out of a coach ever. How bad he feel about the calls that allowed his team to get a lead in the first place? Just shut up Bruce and let your team play. Just shut up about how disadvantaged your program is? Just be thankful for what you and your program have.

I was at the game. It went both ways today with the refs. A couple questionable calls on St. Thomas during the game helped them get up on STA. the fact the STA goalie got ran when the puck in the crease and allowing the goal to stand really helped too. The last penalty on Hermantown should not have ...

Have seen teams in this section play. Let me give you some perspective. Late in the year New Ulm beat Marshall 7-1 and Le Sueur/St. Peter beat them 5-2.
I think it is safe to say even the coaches from Breck calling off the dogs early still means a double digit win... 12-0.

My take:

Game 1- I think Breck knows trying to play three games in as many days is hard and using 4 lines is a must. Breck 12- Marshall 0 :)

Game 1- Hermantown 6- D. Marshall 2

Game 3- St. Thomas 7- Apollo 1

Game 4- EGF 5- Lourdes 3

Went to the game last night. Congrats to Marshall and nice run by Hutch. 3A section play was really fun and unpredictable this year. Having said that, the game was one of the most sloppily played games I have seen in a LONG time. Neither team could pass the puck at all. Campion was horrible with reb...

Not a lot of surprises last night. Congrats to the teams that will not be moving on for good seasons, have to give them credit for competing. Albert Lea took care of business early against an undermanned LaCrescent team (7-1). LHS/SP methodically took apart East (5-1). Faribo used depth to run away...

Hats off to Austin goalie Ranier Londino-Green for 86 saves.
Unreal effort there by the Austin goalie. Would have been fun to see.

LS/SP 5-1 over East.

Re: Just sayin'

Food for thought: Based on QRF, Section 1A is the most competitive bracket 1-4 in the state. Should be quite a tussle for the berth at the X :) Assuming you are speaking of A only. Can't really agree with "in the state" when 6AA has Benilde, Tonka, Wayzata, and EP. Not much to argue with ...

Even if Faribault would upset West this Saturday, I would not put them above Albert Lea, as Albert Lea beat them both times this season. I wouldn't pick Faribault to win over West, however, as I read they lost 3 varsity players to injury in the game at Mayo last Saturday, and I don't think they'll ...

I would put the teams today in the following order: 1. Lourdes 2. Mkto West 3. New Prague 4. Northfield 5. Albert Lea 6. Faribault 7. LeSueur/St. Peter 8. Red Wing 9. Mkto East 10. Austin 11. La Crescent 12. Waseca I agree Red Wing is "better than their record" but the record still counts...

Re: Section 1A

I broadcast the New Prague at Red Wing game Tuesday night on KCUE radio. It was a very evenly matched game. Bisek came up with a huge save in overtime for New Prague and then the Trojans popped in the game winner a couple of minutes later. Section seeding Sunday should be fun. Lourdes certainly is ...

Pretty convenient for the 5 win Hutch squad to throw out the record eh? Isnt that the core purpose for seedings? Evaluate a regular season schedule and performance and establish how that stacks up for a posteason seed amongst the other teams? I understand how you can have a feeling that hutch is be...

Still have not heard one piece of logic as to why Hutch would be seeded ahead of Windom. Can anyone sustain that argument? I think this is pretty straight forward. Hutch is a more talented team. Throw out records because you can't compare them. I have seen both play twice. Windom agains Luverne and...
