Re: Seniors not being allowed to play in state tournament

What are everyone's thoughts on seniors not being played, even for a few shifts, during state tourney games - just for the sake of winning?
The State tourney is not the place to make sure that seniors get playing time...

Geez....this thread needs to go away. You guys lost. The Vikings lost to Dallas in the 70's. The US Olympic hoops team got jobbed at the '72 olympics. Refs make bad calls sometimes. Over the history of mankind, the bad calls will balance out. Plus....you guys would've shown up at the X and got destr...

Re: All Metro Boys Hockey Team Selected
Davis is probably a pretty good goalie. But let's get some things straight here. The teams you listed as 'pretty good' class A teams MAYBE have one kid that can actually shoot the puck. I have watched class A games. With the exception of the Breck's, STA's, Mahtomedis, and Warroad...the skill develo...

Re: mpls west
heard there was a fight at the game friday night. did a ref get hit?
Was it on the ice, or in the stands? Would help if there is a little background. Looks like a couple of kids got 5 minute penalties based on the Hub. Is that it? That happens in a quarter of the g...

Dude, Sorry you got cut. At some point in time, our hockey as we know it comes to an end. May be after college, may be after a senior year in high school, may be before that senior year. Only so many can play. Being bitter is natural. If you love the game, look at what other opportunities are out th...

Re: Top Bantam A Goalies
Who are the top Bantam A goalies?
Well I would believe that would be Jimmy Kortum or his buddy from Hopkins. They used to post here all last year about how good they were. Jimmy is the best goalie in the state by far!
For the most of you who don't really know who the bubble kid his he is from no name city Little Falls. A first year Bantam Ben Newman who by the way let the festival with points 11 or 12 is what I heard. The kid I heard was real solid played great positioning was not re...

Why have game limits at all? Perhaps one association feels their kids develop cognitively through playing more games. Yes their fine skills may be down, but their game skills may be way up. If another association feels their kids should practice more, have at it. I still think a high level mite grou...

Hopefully you are getting my drift. If you like the banquets so much, come up with some ideas on how to pay for them and run them!
Yeah, I get your drift, cut out anything that doesn't have to do with the game on the ice. P...
