Re: come on

Just telling it like it is. Why don't we discuss the players who were great but only played in the defensive end of the rink? I'm not hearing or seeing many names here.

Re: .

Spehar only played at one end of the rink when he was in high school. Yeah, how much did you see him in the corner of his defensive end. How much did he play for Lucia when he took over at the U? Nice job Wooger!

I was at the game when he scored his first college goal against North Dakota at ...

Re: Desire to win and coaching

With your first few sentences, you have make my point. Just think if Herb wasn't the coach of the 1980 team? Herb made that team what it was and there wasn't another coach in the country who could have done what he did. He didn't just teach strategies, he tought those players there was something mor...

Edinahornets9-

Coaching does play a bigger role than you give it credit. How may teams with a revolving door head coach experience long term success? I guess you wouldn't know that considering you have been lucky enough to have had Ikola, Larson and Giles as head coaches. Talk about people wi...

Re: dumb idea

They why are so many of the enlightened people here complaining about the current system? I don't hear any of you Einsteins coming up with a better way. I guess it is easier for you to complain than to come up with some original thought. Go ahead and keep with your career of flipping burgers. Once a...

Re: undefeated and state champs?

Look no further that Bloomington Jefferson (28-0) of 1993 for AA and Red Wing (28-0) in 1997 in A. Just check out Lee's archives of state tourneys past. Before that, Hill-Murray was 28-0 in 1983, Edina East was 24-0 in 1974, Minneapolis Southwest 24-0-1 in 1970, the Falls in 1965 and 1966 (both 26-0...

Get rid of sections

I'm sick of hearing people here complaining about how this team doesn't belong. Here is a simple solution. Eliminate sections along with A and AA. I'm sick of hearing about how we need to move so and so to this section because it isn't fair that they have to go through these teams. Let's create a sy...

Re: Dee

The refs don't have the balls or guts to assess a major penalty in that situation. The Breck player cross-checked the player in the head on top of being from behind. Just watch the replays of the hit. That's leadership for you. No balls to make the correct call. Maybe it will take a player to break ...

Hooking

Pretty pathetic. How can the players with skill stand out when this crap is allowed. Last time I read through the rule book grabbing is called holding, a penalty, and using your stick to impede a player is called hooking.

What a joke! It is no wonder that Europe produces so many skilled hocke...

Well, the refs didn't call it that way. Here's an idea. Instead of complaining about referees, why don't all of us know-it-alls become refs? Just imagine how much better the games would be with our knowledge and insight!

I agree with Sweet Lou. Good announcer and tells it like it is. Wally is only there because of his amazing father Al. Boy, could Al Shaver call a hockey game. Any of you remember Al calling the North Stars games? What a talent.
