Re: Good question

[/quote] That's a rather gratuitous shot, phrased in the form of a question. While it may have played a factor in some of the tough choices that his coach had to make regarding post-season honors, it wasn't a MSHSL regulated issue...from what I heard, administrative overreaction to a gym class kurfu...

Congrats to Nick Wolff. As good a player he is on the ice, I hear he is an even better person and student off the ice. He will have a great four year career at UM-Duluth!! This Bulldog fan is looking forward to watching him take his talents to the ice at Amsoil in 2014 or 2015.

Look at the "attendance" figures, which are really "tickets sold" figures. These numbers are padded by the season ticket sales, because attendance isn't close to 11K. I think MSHSL would be embarrassed to sell that many tickets to a 3,500 seat venue. Great point. So wondering do...

We have season tickets. Have had them in the family for years. A couple suggestions for the MSHSL. We have used our Friday AM and Sat AM AA conso GA tickets once in the past 25 years. Make the AA package Thurs AM/PM, Fri PM and Sat PM. 4 total sessions not six. If you want to pump up the A level the...

It starts and ends with the parents and the coaches. If they allow it, it will continue. If they don't, it will stop. 'nuff said. What's next? Guys pointing at their name on the back of the jersey with flashing neon? That should get the attention of all the scouts in the stands. Never mind. Too lat...

It starts and ends with the parents and the coaches. If they allow it, it will continue. If they don't, it will stop. 'nuff said. I thought the MSHSL was going to try and end some of this "look at me, look at me" stuff this year? I remember seeing something about it on the news or in the p...

Lots of empty seats at this years tourney. I saw lots of empty seats in the upper deck of last nights Championship game. During the 3rd period of the Eagan-DE game Thursday night if there were 3000 fans remaining in the building I would be shocked. Interest level in one of Minnesota's HS sporting tr...

So Wahlin is the first to announce that he is leaving HS hockey early. Will we break 50+ early departures next year or will the numbers start to subside? I am guessing the numbers will continue to grow and the interest and level of play in Minn HS hockey will continue to drop. As long as there are J...

I had to smile and wonder what thoughts were going through the L North kids heads as Lindgren came out to accept his Wells Fargo All-tournament team award!! Eagan fans and parents had to be happy that they recruited him in to play Goalie for the Wildcats these last three years. L North players and f...

I like Eagan over the hounds in a close, low scoring affair 2-1. I think Lindgren will be the difference here. It is so important on the big stage to have a stud goaltender backstopping that strong defense. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that the goaltender chose to play for Eagan i...

You guys crack me up. This is the way Slattery plays, lazy, selfish, no defense, lack of hustle, and holds on to the puck to the point he kills his line. Yes you saw one great pass that led to a goal by Lavalle but if you take into account the numerous times he cost his team it is a wash or even a l...

Slattery was injured late in the WBL game. Anyone know his status? According to his Twitter account it was something to do with his shoulder, but he said that he'll be able to play this week. The bigger question is will he be able to pass the puck? That could be the front runner for post of t...
