Interesting note on the back door article- Rapids made its first ever trip to state as the Region 3 winner in 1972. Their reward? A quarterfinal matchup with an undefeated, returning state champ, Edina team. An up and coming GR team was able to get a win in that game that was actually the coming ou...

Bemidji and Grand Rapids are likely to opt up.

I HAVE NOT ATTENDED ALL OF THEM BUT SINCE 1962(?)
I HAVE WATCHED THEM ALL ON THE TV THING.

(I used caps for the old people that need cheaters.)

Statistically, it is likely that no one at that game is still alive. The factors at play are that total tournament attendance was not even 9K, so maybe 2K for the final. Most attendees in 1945 would have been male, and men have shorter life expectancy. Few MN males survive to age 90, and if a boy o...

These are both in there:
1963 will be up Sunday morning taking on 1977
2022 will be the last quarterfinal and goes against 1945

And who among us can ever forget that 1945 classic?

SOME WERE THERE.

They obviously know things about Hibbing that others don’t. Would you stick around if you knew things and it involved your kids/family and a chance of not making the varsity team? A good majority now, if lil Susie or Joey can’t make it here I’m going somewhere else. If they KNOW something, but leav...

Yea every where may make sense other than greenway, but couple things about greenway. They had 3-4 varsity players on jv due to transferring. They have a pretty descent crop of bantams getting ready to move up along with a pretty good goalie already in place. Why are they not choosing the options a...

ndirishfighting wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2026 12:45 pm Why doesn’t it make sense if it’s greenway? But it makes sense if it’s anyone else?

Rocke Ridge and Grand Rapids would make sense as they are AA.
Greenway, Ely, Intl Falls make no sense on any level (unless the family is moving).

Couple Hibbing bantams potentially leaving and surprisingly not to rapids, hermantown or rockridge but another iron range school that we haven’t heard from for a while and I wasn’t expecting to hear from for a couple yrs. What exactly do you mean by 'iron range school'? If you are talking the confe...

Love it.
Anyone know if slapshooter is still a live, around?
Videoscout?

Section 8 back to back

One of the best games ever

Hi Kris.

And Warroad comes right back.

Great effort/skill by the Hibbing kid on that goal.

Tv timeout right before a penalty kill.
Good for Warroad.
Whoever is producing needs an education.
Not good for Hibbing.

So far Warroad’s defense is the difference.

Nice to see cheerleaders.
