Re: MH Sept 2020 board meeting

This is totally a petty question but I'm fairly new MN Hockey and have always been curious....why do Minnesotan's refer to it as 19U hockey when USA Hockey doesn't recognize 19U youth hockey. Is there something I'm missing? Wouldn't any kid currently in high school (junior or senior) be eligible fo...

The season is going to happen. It will likely be different, but games will be played.
I certainly hope so; with a state tournament.

Re: Minnesota Hockey Taking Over?

In turn, I believe we're taking risks that people in some leadership positions clearly understand are significant but, t...

Thanks, could you define "restrictions"? Do "restrictions" mean? A) Playing a 12-15 game regular season starting in mid-December B) Playing a normal schedule with limitations on fans, etc C) Yet to be determined Not set in stone but what I have been told is: 2 games per week maximum approximately 1...

Re: Minnesota Hockey Taking Over?

Yes you search hard enough you will find an organization that will take your money so your kid can play hockey. The Money making organizations (NAHL, USHL, tier teams, AAA teams) won’t worry about your kids health but yes they will happy to take your money. You don't think MN Hockey/USA Hockey are ...

Same as wise old man with less to weave through. It’s that simple. Same end result! All ready have talked about liability. MSHSL sees the liability and that is why the won’t have a season. What would be the motivation for MSHSL? They see the risk to kids and the liability that they want nothing to ...

Re: Minnesota Hockey Taking Over?

If MH takes over, coaches will need the following: 1) register with USA Hockey. 2) complete USAH background check 3) complete SafeSport training 4) complete Age appropriate training (u-16/u-18 module) 5) be current on USAH level certification. Once level 4 is attained no additional level move up or...
