How did the trny officials allow the Green Bay JR Gamblers in the trny, yet not the Fire? Isn't GB team in the same tier 1 league as the Fire? If I had to guess, Green Bay only has club hockey. It appears not : North East Wisconsin Junior Gamblers Tier I AAA Hockey Association The Jr. Gambler Assoc...

Fortunately for them, they had another CHOICE! Going bar down, you miss the whole point and are always looking for trouble or writing angry things about a group of 10 year old boys. ?????? I have no problem with the Fire. All I'm saying is that if they wanted to play in the tournament, I'm sure all...

If they want to play, go play for your association.

Most teams have to talk kids into playing defense. For Rosemount to have 4 kids that commited to playing defense and not worry about scoring say great things about their team. Is the fellow runnig the defense a kid or a very young looking dad? I also saw him also at the Bloomington tour. He seems t...

Rosemount defense played incredible. You can't find very many teams that have 4 kids that will almost never pass to a kid who is covered and can play with that much poise. I think that there D and Goalie (who played very well for what part of there game I watched) are definitly underrated (given eve...

The whole argument about the easy schdule is a valid point but I'd also like to bring up a different point. Lee/Everson play on a line with SUBSTANTIALLY more talent and experience as well as Mattson. I think that Hanowski is playing great and we saw that when he was playing with the bro and Festler...

Well at squirt I know that teams just switch every 7 games, but then your good kid basically only lines up at D and then skates it up everytime. I have also seen where teams have a "Tournament Lineup" which is for the team to be most successful but then during district league games they sw...

I don't believe "it's fun" is a strong enough argument to consider having a state tourney at the squirt level. What does a squirt state tourney accomplish? Fun for the kids or bigger ego's for the parents and adult coaches?? I don't believe that the kids sitting on the bench while the &qu...

How is crowning a state champion making kids hate the game? I don't know where your from but where I live the kids that are quitting are playing B2 and C hockey. The A and B1 kids(who are having state tournaments) continue to play as for they are more likely to play at the varsity level. Why as a st...

Pretty sure baseball, basketball, golf and tennis all crown a state champion for this age level, so I agree why not hockey. I think that its because parents don't there kids to have hurt feelings that they didn't make it or lost. (NO WAY MY TEAM WINS) Just have a 16 team bracket invitational, have t...

I watched him skate with the Jefferson Varsity and I saw him doing the jumping thing where his feet are like 5 ft off the ground. Not only could he get substantially higher than the kids but he had the broken ankle. The man is an athlete no doubt about it.

I think he runs great practices. Him stopping is because every kid in his mind has to do the drill correctly or else they are wasting his time and the associations money. It just like anything else, if you only lift weights 1 time a month your not going to get much stronger than if your did 4 times ...

I love mite parents who have there first hockey kid because they think every moment is critical.

If your kid was meant to play in the NHL he's going to eventually make it.

I personally find other parents incredibly entertaining!!

The man is a phenomenal teacher of the game. He doesn't care if your 5 or 50 he just wants you to do the drill correctly and to the best of your ability. He is nothing like Bernie. Re: Who will win the Eden Prairie Squirt A Tourney

This has been a great year for Squirt A hockey and the Eden Prairie Tourney is another step to the Grand Daddy of them all in Fargo. Teams in Tourney - Eden Prairie (Going to Fargo) Minnetonka (Going to Fargo) Mound/Westonka Rochester Red Rosemount (Going to Fargo) St. Michael/Albertville (Going to...

what does everyone think that if a kid makes the A or B team as a 1st year should he be grandfathered in for the next season.

The reason I ask is one of our better players had a bad tryout and barely was eligible to get picked for his 2nd season on the A team.

Sound like a good championship game. I would like to thank Kennedy Hockey(The people who made the brackets) for making this tournament a joke after the pool play.
