Re: Competitive Section Assignments
MSHSL is usually slow to change, we all know that. With that said they did change in the top class of football, and basketball coaches seem hopeful they will consider adopting their proposal this summer. If we want to suggest a plan that even stands a chance to be considered it would have to start w...

Re: 2018-19 KRACH RANK - MGHCA WEBSITE - Updated 11/18 (0)
My guess is they didn't update it. When HF/Waconia split, they both were eligible to play A hockey. I'm not sure what that means for which section they are in, but pretty certain HF is not in 2AA anymore.

Well that throws a monkey wrench into our summer plans. Seems unreasonable that the cut off is in September of one's junior year for unofficial visits. After the school year of their sophomore year would seem more reasonable and allow families to visit campuses in the summer without having to miss ...

There was a time when HP was the only way to get noticed and it was a must do for all those who were hoping to play college hockey. Those days have past, and it seems participation is down along with the quality and the tempo of play. It also seems the timing is weird this year as it falls during ma...

Yes, apparently I failed geography too. Last time I checked St Paul isn't anywhere near Wayzata, Hopkins, St Louis Park or Edina...and yet the guru's of HS hockey seem to feel that Cretin deserves to be in this section. Here's the reality, why wouldn't Cretin move back to Section 4 and Woodbury mov...

EP and Tonka were able to use their lobbying efforts to avoid Blake and Edina got stuck. Lobbying? They not teach geography when/where you grew up? Either you don't understand basic geography or the process. Bottom line a team that has a HS address in the middle of Mpls, is not going to end up in a...

As a private school, BSM has no legal requirement to post the job I don't think anyone is arguing the legal requirements, I think it's more words of caution to be careful of the deals you make. I think in most professions employers want to cast a wide net even if they have a candidate in mind, as y...

It's not section realignment year, that is every 4 when they start from scratch and then there are sometimes bigger moves. It is the section adjustment year, so Blake will fall in most likely in section 6 based off the map and location of the HS on MSHSL. My guess is for the next 2 years they will l...

Re: Mound is open on Mshsl site
It is no longer on MSHSL website, just the boys one is there. Did they find someone already? Is there something wrong with the site? Seems like jobs are up then they are gone???????notahockeyguy wrote:No it was instigated by parents and AD at Mound

Hmmm maybe RL was from last year, seems some that were up last week disappeared. These 3 are the only three girls openings on MSHSL now.

Don't underestimate those political currents by EP and Minnetonka to prevent this from happening. I am sure they have already started the lobbying to the MSHL Board of Trustees I don't think quality teams in AA are as worried about Blake as you may think. They are a good team, but so are a lot of o...

Just never been a huge fan of LSQ, it gets better towards the end of the year, but I see a lot of the teams games and the rankings just never pass the eye test. I know it's early now, but Blaine at 2, when the highest ranked team they beat is #35, just doesn't add up to me. I would put any team with...

Those wishing/hoping for Blake to move up shouldn't get too excited. That opportunity is only on the years sections are re-aligned. Since that just happened they will be class A next year, and they would have the option to move up again in 17-18 season. The one thing that the MSHSL should consider c...
