Good to see a first timer to the tourney do well. New Prague has a history of players leaving (like a lot of schools now), nice to see those staying getting rewarded.

Who I want to win and who I think will win are two different teams. I'd like to see EGF but, I think the speed of Lourdes will outmatch them. Yes, the majority of their scoring is from the top two players, but every team they have faced knew this as well and they still haven't been able to stop them...

IMO, I only see one really competitive between #4 Wayzata and Centennial. But, as we all saw last year, anything can happen!

I won't be able to make it to the game, but if anyone here will be there, I'd be interested in seeing if an unusually large amount of sticks are broken throughout the span of the game?

Well, after that poor performance on predictions, I'm going to leave it up to Roy from now on. . The Red Wing game definitely caught my eye and Roy makes a good point that they could potentially start the season 0-10 which would be a blow for any team's morale. In their first 7 games, they have scor...

Well, since I decided to stay in this evening and not venture to any games, I decided I'd make my early season predictions considering I didn't do any preseason rankings. How I think teams will get seeded for sections (top eight only): 1. Rochester Lourdes 2. New Prague 3. Northfield 4. Red Wing 5. ...

In the 2009-2010 season Lourdes lost to both Red Wing and Northfield but ended up winning the section championship by beating NF in quarterfinals 2-1. NP in semis 4-1 and RW in Finals 3-0.

I don't know a whole lot about Kennedy but I was shocked to see Northfield lose to them 1-4.. Does anyone know if Kennedy is better this year, did Northfield perform poorly or was Kennedy just the better team? I have to agree with Clutterbuck22 on the part about Lourdes and how they are still going ...

Predictions for today/tonight's games?

Lourdes vs. Red Wing

Albert Lea vs. New Prague

Personally, I have Lourdes over Red Wing, 3 goal difference.
Albert Lea and New Prague is gonna be a close down to the wire game, probably 1 goal, maybe 2 after empty net. Should be a fun day.

I think this shows that New Prague has a good team when they are not in penalty trouble. Also interesting stats above, shows the lack of depth in West's line up. The Finnish player was phenomonal, definitely someone you are gonna wanna keep a watchful eye on. Should be two intersting teams to follow...

HAHA! The reason you don't think any of the 2nd or 3rd liners are any good is because they were out there about 5 minutes each game. T Lapic, D Lapic and Adams last year were on the ice practically 2 of the 3 periods last year. Olson is good. Adams is good. Corr is good. Meyer is good. Lets not forg...

Rumors are true!
Darrin Lapic is not coming back to play for the New Prague Trojans. Don't ask, I don't know where he is going but it is not New Prague. (Talked to a NP dad at a camp, hopefully he knew what he was talking about......)

Okay, good to know. I agree, the kid that got his head cut open must not have had the helmet fitted properly because there is no way that a helmet like that would have drawbacks as major as that!

This thread has been an interesting one. I have seen Roseau vs. Warroad, White Bear vs. Hill Murray and I have seen East vs. Cloquet. There are many honorable mentions too. Some being, STA vs. Cretin, and Virginia vs. Hibbing. The true quetion is what rivalry is the best. It is a very open-ended que...

I bought a cascade. May be ugly but I like it a lot. Makes me feel a little more protected out there.

Makes you feel more protected, but are you more protected? Have you had a concussion since?
