Reebok HP 16's & 17s Spring Festival

Looking at the rosters and a few of the top names are missing. section 2 for the 16s and section 6 for the 17s look like toe teams to beat.

Any suggestions on a place for a couple beers and a burger close to Wakota..? KOD! See ya there? 8) Not sure about that one. If we were in Duluth at the "jazz club" for sure! (but I still can't get that smell off of me from that fine establishment) ;) Jersey's seems to be the place - 5:00...

Article implies some questionable personality dealios with NE. Northern Educate Wheels= Off!

Just heard from a credible source that NE is behind on over $50k in Rents from December on. There is also a mechanics lien on the $150K in renovations that they did to build their classrooms. That means that the contractors have not been paid. Might be too late to run from this investment.

I don't have a horse in this race but i tend to agree with the latest sentiments. Not sure why, other than the "celebrity factor" the D League would want ANY parent on one of its benches. Benches should be run like a 3on3 game anyway; next line up, regardless of situation. Give all the pl...

You forgot to mention one stat. With over 200 kids participating the $ made in this private bilking of hockey families to have your kid play on a team rostered with 20+ kids is almost $150,000....

22 out of the 120 drafted are from MN from my count. Is that a typical number? I know that there are a lot of factors that go into the draft such as will a kid leave early but I would think that there would be more MN kids on that list.

Strange that only 11 forwards for the 16s ( not 12)and one goalie (not 2)for the 17s does anyone know how they pick how many kids MN gets? I always thought that we got more than other areas of the US due to our depth. I think last year there were alternates listed and this year they are not. I do kn...

Re: 16 vs17 Blue Red Brawl?

How come no one is commenting on the 16 v 17 game and the two ejections that happened? This was embarassing for MN hockey to have a game at this level and this showcase get out of hand. The fact that a kid got kicked out of a game in the festival two weeks in a row is unacceptable. This is what the...

Fees the same as players but our association will pick up all gear short of skates, helmet, stick, breezers. Ours is the same except they will not pick up skates, helmet, stick, breezers, leg pads, chest pads, arm pads, blocker or catching gloves and athletic supporters. Other than the full fees an...

I know these teams very in ability, but I wonder how long before someone puts together a 02 summer "district" type set-up where the kids play a game schedule. Thus cutting out all these 1600-1800 $ tournys. It has been done. It didn't work at least for my liking. AAA showcase had a league...

These kids were and are great, because they are talented. Associations, private lessons, camps etc. all made them better. They all do have talent and determination. But the reason they are able to make the impact that they have at HS, Tier 1, Jrs. is because of the hand skills they learned from him...

Good to see that the X strikes and you are out is gone. I still think that we will be working on the powerplay and penalty kill skills for a long time. It seemed at least in the games that I watched every hit was a hit to the head, board and or check from behind. I only saw one 5 minute penalty with...

Major Penalties---Holy Hannah!!!

Over the weekend I saw multiple games at multiple levels at multiple arenas. All of which had at least one Major Penalty assessed. Also saw more than one game with multiple 5 and 10s. How many kids are going to be banned from hockey after their 4th Check from behind? Anyone else think this is Crazy?...
