Very interesting to say the least. Anyone else remember the huge rush towards the supposed "concussion proof" M11 helmets a few years back? Turns out they're nothing special aside from the huge frontal design flaw that led to many players cutting their foreheads when taking a relatively standard ch...

I know already what Manufacturers are going to do, because of their failures they are going to create new lines of helmets and the cost is going to go up more than the already astronomical prices of these lids. Did you hear the Bauer rep "I stand by my product" line... what a crock What "failures" ...

Karl talked about Bowlby a little bit in the initial post. I think he has had a huge impact on this season for the Hornets, really adding to their depth and completing a very good 2nd line. Bowlby did not score a goal his whole junior season as a 4th line player. He committed to play at St. Laweren...

So... 13 - 1976 Grand Rapids 12 - 1996 Duluth East 12 - 1977 Edina Do we have a consensus? Are we all okay with this as the "official" list of teams with the most D1 players to this point? These are incredibly impressive numbers. My good pal keepyourheadup constantly tells me how great that 77 Edin...

For me, it was a real tourney highlight to see coach Eigner have so much joy in his post game celly!! His passion for the boys and the game was fun for me to see. So many coaches over play the, stoic no emotion act that they forget how big of a deal it is for these players. For many boys, it's the ...

Quit saying LN's section is weak... everyone knows this. It's not like they snuck into the tourney like last year. They won their 3 section games 24-2. That's after starting slow each game, which happens to most good teams playing weaker teams. I've seen LN play multiple times this year... They are...

According to the hockey expert LaPanta all teams might just as well stay home with exception of Eden Prairie and Edina. The hockey expert has them in the finals due to the 'vastly superior line depth' of both teams. So that's why EP lost 8 times this year. Got spanked by East and still got the 3 se...

As far as Hill and their season it has to be considered a colossal failure, some of which needs to be placed on the coach. You lose three games all regular season and the season is a "colossal failure" because you didn't make it to state? Wow. If you haven't heard we set the bar high. And when we d...

I don't know about "phantom" assists and running up the score but I do wish that Hockey Hub would publish Class A AND Class AA statistics. I've been looking at the boys and girls Hubs for a number of years and it's rare to see a AA player listed. No slam on Class A but doesn't it tell you something?

The West Coast BSM offense (bounce puck off glass/cross defensive zone passes to speeding Besse/Labosky combined with a five man forecheck) was effective against North Suburban opponents, you are independent now and no longer ha...

Dads love that idea but it's kind of unlikely. It's important for players to practice with the stick they play with so most players carry two of the same so if one breaks they have another, the same, with them. And, I don't know where they picked this up, try and get your player to go with wood. Ke...

I think one of EP's top line players is out for the season Injury will be missed but wont be a game breaker. So much young varisty caliber talent has moved in to EP over the past few years; Warner, Snuggerud, Pajor. There are a few more on JV. I have heard that Edina does not reward/encourage move ...
