If I hear "lifes lesson" to explain away unethical behavior one more time I'm going to puke. Just exactly WHAT life lesson are we to learn by stealing, cheating and blessing 9 year old kids as the "next big thing"? We finally got away from the "your kid must've got cut" crap every time someone quest...

Regarding all the conjecture about the attorney:
Whether I was this group of parents or Randolph, I would tend to want to find a lawyer that was familiar with the "scene". It only speaks to his professionalism to be able to represent either side of an issue.

You are probably safer around the X than you are around the DECC.
As stated, there is a skyway frpm the ramp across the street.
Afternoon sessions are not as packed as the eve.
Tickets? - I'm not sure.

Is the fact that Charlie's younger brother open-enrolled at Eagan High School as a ninth grader really relevant to this discussion? I know this is 1AA, but anyone else on the younger brother's Eagan team that played Bantams in another city last year? Retaining is good; recruiting is awesome!...

Dumbest thread I've seen in a while. The freshmen leaving drama, the Farmington drama, and now this? Lets get back to talking about real hockey. What's done is done. Move on. I agree - but I have to add that most of what D3Ref wrote here is accurate. All you guys are yelling about how parents shoul...

From what I have heard , the player involved was probably one of the top 4 or 5 in ice time on the team. So, we'll see what the school board says after the evaluation. The underlined portion should disqualify comment.. The coaches are designated with the responsiblity of rating each player, positio...

This isn't about the goalie incident. That's been covered plenty. What really comes out in this thread is how so many of you cannot see beyond hockey. It is obviously the highest priority for many of you. That holier than thou attitude of those who would "never allow" their kid to be a quitter is ob...

Re: Seniors can be a liability

There is always an emotionally charged discussion on this board in the fall when coaches bring up the youth and get rid of Seniors. Everyone says the Seniors should be kept, blah, blah, blah. Here is your eveidence why many coaches err on the side of caution and get rid of Seniors that may or may n...

I know of a few players who received "academic scholarships" from their D-3 schools. They definitely didn't have the grades/test scores either.. If they want a player bad enough, they will find a way to get them in with aid. I think these players are confusing academic scholarships with financial n...

I will add to that. D3 schools offer very little in the way of financial assistance to their hockey players. It is a shame that the current "system" forces so many kids into one or two years of Jr hockey in an attempt to just play nonscholarship D3 hockey. I would disagree with this statement. Alth...

Is it the dreams of the kids or really the dreams of their parents ? In mites/squirts/peewees, it's 80% the dreams of the parents and 20% kids (they just want to have fun). In juniors it's more like 90% the dreams of the kids (those are the ones that are left - no one left at that age can put out t...

Not sure attending/not attending the Great 8 will determine their hockey future - lot of kids on here that are good players, but lots of good players missing.
