When you have the best goaltender in the state you always have a chance and Moorhead has the best goalie in the state so they have a chance.

PuckU126; any idea who is back from injury for EGF? I also heard that warroad has a couple guys back from injury as well, any ideas if they are KEY players for either team?(serious answer please) hahaha My guess would be freshmen Dixon Bowen. He did not play in the quarterfinals against Red Lake Fa...

From what I read, only Henry Sibley made the switch from AA to A.

Looks like Northern Lakes has moved from 6A to 8AA, also Detroit Lakes from 6A to 8A. Guess 6A was just too strong had to move a few teams.

3rd place game
Thief River Falls 2
Hibbing 0
after 2- Riley Soderstrom has both Prowler goals. TRF is also playing their other goalie today, not a huge suprise as he is a senior and split time during the regular season.

I like TRF in this one, they have a lot of depth will roll 3 lines and 5 d-men. Top 2 lines have some good skill and speed and most teams can't shut down both of them.

Warroad- Will probably be down from what they have been, Foster should be solid for them If I were to guess right now I would say they're probably 3rd best team in 8a next year behind EGF and TRF.

The Lakeville twins are headed to OT #2. It sounds like a barn-burner! 1AA talent. A great playoff history between these two teams..I believe this marks 10 years in a row that they've met in the 8A playoffs. Correct. Including seven section finals. Here are the scores: '10 - 2-0 WAR: TRF couldn't get one by Foster and Nelson was dominant. '09 - 3-2 WAR: Brock Nelson with the late...

I've seen both these teams play throughout the tournament and to me it looks like TRF has more depth up front and on d too. Warroad seemed like only their top line really generated many chances, while TRF had 3 lines who were all making things happen. Both teams goaltending looked average at best. A...

Re: #1 Bemidji vs #2 Moorhead for Section 8AA

Who takes this one? After two ties this season, this could be THE Section Final for 2010-2011. I like Bemidji for that fact that they probably have the most balanced scoring in the state and a top-notch goal-keeper in Josh Graves. I like Bemidji in another close one between these two, I think Micha...

Don't think LOW has enough to pull the upset, they were lucky enough to pull that comeback out against RLF. I'll say Lyon will keep LOW close, but it will end TRF 3-0.

warroad 3 EGF 2 2nd OT EGF outshot them 44 to 25 What a game, what a disappointing finish. The Warriors continue their 8A dominance. EGF probably played the better game, but a bad turnover in overtime is what ended it. EGF had plenty off chances in the slot and in close around the net, but sent a l...
