Really this game doesn't matter except for bragging rights.... Until next year when STA finally steps up to play AA. I do believe that STA just might be the best team in the state this year. The first time that I can remember when the top A team just might be the best team in the state.

16 teams

What about doing a 16 team Tourney? Logistics I know could be an issue. What about true open enrolment? You are free to go where you want. No more transfer rules or anything...Just a crazy thought.

Can't wait for this tilt. Especially now that the Cadets have finally decided to play with the big boys next year.

Hornets are just too deep.

I saw all the games in the Tourney and the best players I thought were..
Hurley, Bergh, Malmquist, Peterson, Reno.

Edina is going to be tough to beat this year, they truly are a complete team from up front to Reno/Nelson to Benjamin.

FINE EAGAN IS THE BEST, GO EAGAN!
Impossible to debate with these absolute biased homers

Great job Karl! It has been an interesting start this year with a lot of unsuspecting losses. Maybe high school hockey is becoming like the NFL with more parody.

The Eagles showed up for most of the night and got a much needed victory. Defense finally played defense and the forwards shared the puck. Top line of Bergh, Spinner, Knudsen playing correct positions showed immediate results. With a few bounces the Elks could have pulled this one out. I really like...

Great Kid, Great Choice!
Even as a Gopher fan I would not want to go there right now, it seems a little messy over in Gopher nation.
His style perfectly fits UND!

I hope Bischoff plays, I know a lot of people would like to see him and Avery Peterson both play this weekend. This will be a test for the Hornets, GR plays a tough hard nosed scrappy style usually. The thing about Edina is I think they can play both the finesse game and they can play the hard nosed...

"How can beating Burnsville be a statement win? They were a 4-2 team going in that barelly beat LN and has lost to everyone else except an EP team that has serious issues." Your math is curious (how can B'ville be 4-2 if they beat LN and EP but "has lost to everyone else"?). Tha...

So I guess "rip it up" means watching Tyler Sheehy blow by you in 3rd and spend 2 minutes alone for Tripping, then Yes he did just that. Overall the consensus from the scouts there and anyone in attendance was Eagan physically handed it to Burnsville in every way possible. If Burnsville e...

If you want to operate like a Prep School. Be a Prep School and get out of the MSHSL.

It was a good day for the Blades. Nine of the players drafted played for the Blades U16 team last fall. This is the team, coached by Jamie Huffman and Scott Steffen, that beat Shattuck three times (of four). Congratulations to all the draftees. Good work. Round 1- Dylan Malmquist-F- Edina- Muskegon...

Good points, except if from an outstate single A school, chance of being noticed are slim. Meaning chance of a scout coming to watch and player having good game at same time. Odds against these players and need a program like Advanced to get some exposure. If your kid is good enough they will find ...

You're wrong on several points. It's not, "the only way to go." No youth player, "plays for their school." It's not, "the only logical thing to do." And, privates don't have, nor will they start, their own associations. Are you saying it has something to do with a priv...
