Can't control their conference. White Bear is usually much better, Flake and Roseville down as well making a mediocre conference even softer this year. But that is out of Stillwater s control. What you can do is try to upgrade your non-conference schedule. Here is the who the Non-conference schedul...

The guy is dead wrong, Stillwater is not a team of individuals, even when they announce starting lineups, the players don't step out, they stay lined up as a team . You don't get where they are by not playing like a team. A lot people thought that was just plain cockiness. Like they were too cool f...

Re: Coaching Openings 2015-16
Running away! I've heard the parents are as bad as it gets @ MV... it's a shame. That surprises me. My son played association there and the parents were great. I can't speak for high school. I'm not in those circles. The new coach is Scott Brokaw, Providence Academy's old coach. I would absolutely ...

Hey Brokaw don't forget any of your tools that you brought to Providence! Don't leave the Dr. D.A.F behind! 😎 As a MV fan I'm getting worried about this new hire. I know nothing of this guys but the comments here are getting me excited. I have liked watching them playing over the last few years and...

I was told by a youth board member that the MV numbers will be higher next season than they were this past. Also the pipeline shows the same over the next few years. Seems as though MV was able to get through this past season with some okay success. I know nothing about the girls side though. You ju...

Re: Coaching Openings 2015-16
How does a group of parents continue to do this over at MV? and it's not just hockey. I was told this past weekend that one of these parents that caused issues was then asked to be on the new hire committee. Who runs the program over there at MV? Get the parents off the selection committee, this is ...

Sats who are your candidates for the LS job? I've heard Scott Bjugstad and Ryan Kraft's names thrown around. Who knows though. A lot of catching up to do over in Cougar Country. I thought someone told me Scott Bjugstad was already coaching HS hockey somewhere this part season? Doesn't Kraft have in...

Tribute of Lavalle kid
Being a father of a former MV player I must say I thought that was a great tribute that was on during the tourney.

I posted the other day and will post again as I know coach Thomas from when he was coaching in the youth at MV. He flat out told me he is just offering the opportunity to them and that they need to show up on November 11th and try to earn a spot just like others in the program. Coach Thomas told me ...

I think it will be close with MV and Roseville for the #3 seed. Looks like MV finished 5-3 vs section opponents while Roseville was 2-4. Mv also ended up higher with strength of schedule. I see it as followed 1) Hill 2) WBL 3) MV 4) Roseville 5) Still 6) Johnson 7) NSP 8) Tartan 9) Como 6 and 7 coul...

Goalie-dad, Let me say that I'm a MV fan as I once had a son that played for the Mustangs. It sounds like you have one currently going through the system. You talk about how good these kids were in bantams and how that should get them deep into sections and possible confrences titles. We are talking...

1parent, MyHockey Rankings record for Moundsview A Bantams has them at 4 - 26 - 4, incomplete to be sure, but not too impressive for the 2008 - 2009 bunch - sorry for the delayed response, dozed off for a few months. [/quote] Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't that be this years high school...

I only saw them play twice this past season, but saw them a half dozen times the year before, and both teams looked very simiular. They were both very solid teams, as their records from MN Hockey indicate - 2009 -10 they were 45 - 11 - 5, and this past season they were 41 - 12 - 5 That a pretty goo...

Re: i.e.
We'll see how much his HS experience kicks in and if he can lead this great group of up and coming kids. talk to ya in 365 days It's funny that I hear people talk about this group of kids but when I asked my son how this years group did as bantams he said they were not very good. What is all the hy...

It sounds like the group of bantams that have come through MV in the last couple years will give them a nice little window of opportunity to have a high level of success at the high school level. Why not let the group that led them to a bantam A state championship game continue the run in high schoo...

Just curious to know thier coaches experience? Going from coaching bantam hockey to the varsity level is a new animal. I believe the last time MV won the league in D2 outright was when the current varsity assistant was the coach. Brady your right in saying MV needs to keep kids and I know from watch...

Aaron Fulton and Aaron Lewicki have been a great 1-2 punch at the Bantam A level for the last couple of years. Both are relatively young, knowledgeable about the game, and can get a ton of respect from the players. I'd be quite surprised if they weren't given serious consideration....that is if the...
