Never cared for the character or the person playing him.
With ya on that.

And not that I don’t like your character, kniven... just some similarities in your wording by being hard on yourself. Thanks for helping the kids and stick your chest out because of it. 👍

Re: 7AA 2019-2020

i care too much, and I am to honest. When it comes to my purple, I am very protective of our sweater. I really, truly feel that the team comes before the individual no matter who you are. Over my years here, I am very happy that kids decided to leave our hockey program early. Because. I don’t think...

Re: The Hermantown Thread

Unfair to say they recruit when it’s obvious talent ends up there for the 95% chance of going to the tournament. The problem comes in with playing the best in youth hockey and then dropping back in high school to guarantee the ticket. I really do like the program, but it’s way past due to make the m...

Jack Harvey commits to Boston University

Second (Nick Strom, Western Michigan) with North Branch beginnings to commit in the last four months.

Something in the water in that small town with no rink...

Congrats!!

Re: University of St Thomas

St. Cloud's and Mankato's attendance last year were roughly the same. According to USCHO.com, SCSU averaged 4146 per game, 16th in the country. MSUM averaged 4129 per game, ranking 18th. Full attendance figures are here: https://www.uscho.com/stats/attendance/division-i-men/2018-2019/ Ok... College...

Re: University of St Thomas

I graduated from MSU before they turned Div I and no one went to games then. Even now they draw just OK considering how good of a record they've the past few years. Most people at the games when I go down barely watch nor understand the game and student participation is pretty poor. Mankato and sur...

Re: University of St Thomas

There is nothing to say UIC can't have a donor and PSU's donor isn't buying tickets, Notre Dame's national recognition has nothing to do with filling seats, Mankato is not a hockey area and is barely a hockey school but has decent attendance and again the Chicago Wolves draw very well in their leag...

Re: University of St Thomas

Biggest problem is the arena. St. Thomas's 1,400 seat arena 7 miles from campus would be the second smallest in D1 hockey. Offering enough scholarships for a competitive D1 team would be difficult without some MAJOR booster support. Recruiting for a 2021 roster should start yesterday. Not saying it...

Re: 218 - Minnesota Wilderness U18 goes 4-0

Awesome. I saw them, as well as Voyageurs. Both beat my son's team in close games. Minnesota showed its model off to all. Elite League in full swing. Blades showcase. Blizzard showcase. NAPHL. Think how many kids it takes to fill all these teams and everyone did well. Best developmental model in th...

Re: 2019 Elite League Rosters

Funny Kilen didn't make the second tryout. More fishy business. I'm told he will prob. Be a 3rd liner at Hermantown. Very small and doesn't pass. Complete travesty that Cody Croal of NB isn’t on an EL roster (to my knowledge) Kid made National 15 Camp & is a really nice player. Politics have been a...

He was in a very bad car accident and had a severely broken leg. Critical condition for a while if I remember right.

2 more years of total GREATNESS for North Branch and then they won’t even be able to form a varsity squad the next year.

Banished? What the heck would a high school hockey coach be throwing out the “I banish you” words. That’s not the language of a high school hockey coach/leader/mentor for our kids is it? I can’t believe Coach would “banish players” high school kids.... Alec Baer already forgotten. For going to watc...

There are absolutely some on this list who should have been on teams already like Jackson Blake and Max Burkholder (when was the last time a Bantam Player of the Year had to tryout for elite league? I know YHH’s selection has nothing to do with EL team placement, but typically the top couple Bantam...

Re: State of Hockey's Team

Edina will always have a handful of D1 caliber players on every team. With the sheer numbers in their youth program and former professional and D1 players who choose to live there it’s always likely they’ll have very talented and well coached players. But like an earlier poster said, a well rounded...

They went back to the Frozen Four in 2005, 2012, and 2014, reaching the final in that last year. He won a conference regular season championship every year from 2012 through 2017 (and yes, the last four were in the weaker Big Ten, but the first two of those were in the WCHA). This is when I realize...

Re: State of Hockey's Team

Obviously turning into a Lucia type pout fest on here... College representation is creeping up in percentage in the NHL and the longer development is turning undrafted players into future NHLer's. A win-win. Go ahead and watch the 18-21 year olds play 35 year olds in the NHL if you can't handle it.....
