Re: Upcoming D1 commitments
His family has put it on FB too. Big get for UMD. He was set on following Oshie and Nelson to UND when he was younger. Kobe Roth being on UMD, along with the overall team success and track record of NHL players had to be strong selling points. The Bulldogs are pulling star recruits that they typica...

Re: 2022 Class A QF #1 seed 7A Hermantown (26-2-0) vs 1A New Prague (11-15-2)
As someone who rarely comes on this site and also doesn’t have the time to read 78 pages of the Hermantown thread… what have they said as a program as to why they stay down at A? Anything? I’m at the game and they do not belong here at all (which I’m sure has been said in that thread a million time...

Re: Teams Making a Jump to Relevance
Can we also discuss teams making a jump from relevance? The former North Branch program North Branch had over 100 mites around 2008 in the height of the economic downturn. Huge numbers for a program with no rink of their own and $40 for first year mites of any age was the key. A few(?) years later ...

Jeez - imagine if he took the same post at Hermantown. Some of your heads would really splode. Seriously! Let the man be. So what if he is going to STA. Some of you have a really deep-seeded hatred for the private schools. Agree! Why walk away from something he enjoys. Yes, the ones that sandbag fo...

Re: Class A Rankings 1.31.21
I'm wondering where Hermantown and Gentry would rank in AA this year. Both would be top 10 surely, maybe even top 5. Gentry's game against Blake might be the only indicator we get. The Hermantown game vs GR on 02/11 should give a glimpse into where the Hawks could fit into AA. By the way, Hermantow...

Common good is another form of socialism. Wake up hunter and wake that kid of yours up also. I sure can tell the liberal, dem Trump haters from the normal regular folk on this subject. Sad deal for the hard working small business owners right here in Minnesota. Lets get back to work. Yes. 100%. Comm...

Yes the stay at home has done its job. That is why the numbers are as low as they are. Open everything up and the numbers will skyrocket. The stay at home has done what was intended. Slow the curve. The data goldy provided shows that. Many are screaming the sky is falling like chicken little with b...

So fill me in on why hospitals should have to take care of people that go don’t comply with mandates from governor? Your so sure it’s safe and that you don’t need to stay home, well then stay out of hospitals! Sorry but couldn’t resist. What an ignorant statement this is. There are people out there...

Re: CoVid-19
This is a virus that is MOSTLY attacking the VERY elderly and those with underlying health issues to a lesser extent. 86 was the average age death and 44 (lived in nursing home) is the youngest in Minnesota. We had all these clues on who it was attacking in Italy... We could have focused our energy/...
Re: CoVid-19
This could be the new reality. No more high school, college, sporting events, concerts, jobs, vacations, etc. this could be the new reality from here and beyond. There is no end in sight of the fear. Turn the news off, we're going to be fine. Bill Maher agrees https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcvIQJ...

Prayers for all those that have the virus or are trying to contain it. Slapshot, I'm very impressed that you starting dealing with this back in February. I just with we had a government smart enough to do that as well. Instead we have an idiot running the country who thought this was a big hoax unt...

The best years seem to be behind us...
Way fewer stories between periods on 45 and it would be great to see the short school pride videos again... Bring the hype/life back to the biggest high school event in the country!

Any Predictions for the Final Monticello has dominated 5A all year. They have always had their way with Pine City in the past. Pince City is riding a great year and arrives in its first section final since 02 I think I saw. I would love to see the Dragons win but I think they will play nervous and ...

I think it was 50+ shots and the CL goalie only allowed 1. They also had a forward playing some inspired hockey with the 2 goals. I’m sure his dad is proud.
Good luck the rest of the way!

Re: Section 5A Thread
Self harm continues... North Branch had 160 penalty minutes ALL of last year and are currently at 268(!!!) this season with a game to play. It makes it all the worse when your best players are the ones off the ice most of the time. This group dominates when they just play their game with clean - int...
