It would be interesting to poll the high end players that stay after the season to see if it was worth it. IMO if they win Mr. Hockey and/or go to the State tournament the answer would be yes. If not ???

Great job Karl, Love the Sunday morning read. EP has had had ER's number the last few years, I'm sure Snuggerrud will log Suter like minutes against ER's top line and Edina will seek revenge for the loss to the Elks. The bottom line for ER is to be ready for Rapids and Forest Lake on the 28th in 7A...

When Fletcher took over the Wild he spoke of the team having no identity and wanted his team of the future to have a home grown face with Minnesota boys. While this is yet another promise he hasn't been able to fulfill, picking Nanne has been another PR stunt that hasn't gone over like he had hoped....

Chuck Fletcher is no fool. He owes more to Lou Nanne than the public knows for his job with the Wild. Not only was Lou an intracate part of Fletcher landing the job, Lou has been an itracate part of him staying. Lou works overtime to make sure Fletcher stays. It benefits both parties. Hence a Nanne ...

Edina was decimated by defections to HS. They could have used the 7 kids who left. Or 4, or any number of them. Every team can cry about the talent that left for high school. Look at the talent that left EP 14's Hanscom(Holy Family),Lund(Blake),Bullock(Blake),Johnson(EPHS),Jamar(EPHS),Boyle(EPHS),D...

Re: U14 hockey now officially dead in D6

It's been going downhill fast, but when you look at what happened this year, it's now officially over. The last couple holdouts for taking Freshmen on Varsity and JV, Edina and Eden Prairie, both snapped up the top end kids. Benilde took one of last years Edina top 14 kids and top 12 kids. Blake an...

Lucky, not sure why this is a surprise to you? The most pure level of girls hockey has been and will continue to be 12U until the numbers grow. In EP the girl's coordinator was determined to move 12's up to play 14B. Many parents questioned his motivation to move the girl's to a level that has not f...

Great thanks for getting the banquet going again!

It went from a special event for the people who deserve it, THE PLAYERS, COACHES AND MANAGERS to an watered down, forced event with 400 parents, coaches and managers. Thanks but not thanks. Not so special.
