16's and 17's were apparently set at MN Hockey but they have to wait for USA Hockey approval and they are super slow for whatever reason I'm sure 102 15 year old girls who have been checking the website every half hour for that last 3 days won't be any more understanding than the 108 16 and 17 year...

Seems like the girls take longer to pick. The 16's and 17's seemed to take longer than the boys

It looks like a goalie from the girls' side will be spending next week in St Cloud.

Incentive is to play against the best talent available in front of their future coaches eyes. Not like HS were top players routinely walk around players like cones. It will only help them going forward, to be pushed. D1 is a bigger step than most can image. The game is faster, the players are stron...

The scrutinizing of cost for OS and whether to attend or not, would basically come down to a personal decision/opinion, based on whether or not a person feels they will receive a fair return on their investment. Correct? Agree, the question I had asked, and I think remains largely still on the tabl...

It is odd to me, that people that don't support or are unable to attend certain camps/clinics or programs, are quick to criticize/scrutinize and/or question the ones that do. I don't think anyone has criticized, and I think the only scrutinizing has been regarding the cost, and I'm positive that ne...

I feel terrible. My kid is playing college hockey and I didn't get to spend the $775. But hey, Winny still gets my money because the kid skates in OS' college skate. So there is a kid that plays D1 that didn't attend the Prospects Camp. Something for the "if you're good enough, they'll find yo...

yup,$ 775. I don't see anyone else stepping up to buy ice. For 16 teams playing 5 games each over 3 weekends. Two referees each game, scorekeepers, penalty box personnel. She also takes the time to set your player in the level of her ability so she can compete at the appropriate level of play. Or s...

Yup, you Winny haters can hate all you want.... I don't know that there are many Winny haters. The Winny skeptics, though, might ask questions like Mavs asked, how many Os Prospects girls didn't sign D1 or D3 commits? Or...how many D1 commits didn't participate in the prospects camp (doesn't seem l...

What is the Year?
Is it the calendar year in which the player enrolled/intends to enroll?
Is it the calendar year in which the player committed?

I can only predict 1 2001 from MN that I think will be invited to that camp this year assuming that she is healthy enough (Breza of Breck/Mound).
I don't see her on a summer camp team roster.

Thanks for the update HD20. Congrats on the win. I believe that it is good for us as a state of girls hockey when our girls (any of them) are successful in tournaments outside of MN. Also good to find out in a sort of backwards way how our other teams might have stacked up when comparing each of ou...

Early next werk I'll try and post a link or you can google it for yourself......the Rochester Post Bulletin on Saturday has an article on the high rate of coaching turnover, something like 1 in 4 boys basketball coaches in section 1 were either fired or resigned this past year. One of my coworkers ...

I'm sure this will taken as disparaging, or passive aggressive:
If HD's post illustrates that said girls performed better than the other girls in all the districts other than D6, doesn't that necessarily extrapolate to, the other 9 skaters on the D6 roster performed slightly better than said girls?

It always warms my heart when people hope/wish for bad things to happen to others. Who is wishing? What is bad? First, we should have never played in a 12U tournament last year, because the quality of play was way below the teams level and apparently the team was trophy chasing. Then the team moves...

I think it would be great if they went to Chicago, Toronto, Rochester, and Boston, and proved they were the best in show, but struggled a bit in the locals, proving the show is in Minnesota, not in Chicago, Toronto, Rochester, or Boston.
