Change the State Tourney back to one class but have 16 teams going in. One section for private schools and the winner of that section has to face a large city section school in round #1. Varsity coaches have to be teachers at their respective high schools. This is a school activity, too many people ...

I've heard people say the EP is going to blow out East, but I anticipate a great championship game.

I'm pulling for East in this one. The very best of Minnesota High School Hockey.

Re: STA - Hermantown

Best game I've seen in a long, long time. No. Edina-Duluth East was much better. These refs were favoring STA. It figures a Stillwater guy would watch a game as great as that one and then post a message bitching about the refs. Figures a guy who has no clue of hockey names himself after a city :rol...

Best game I've seen in a long, long time. No. Edina-Duluth East was much better. These refs were favoring STA. Well, my opinion happens to be just that, my opinion. You obviously feel that the Edina-Duluth East game was better, and you're entitled to that. As far as the refs go, I think it was pret...

Heh, I shoulda used this thread, sorry Karl 8)

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I think the AA tourney would be better with STA in it. They belong there, this Class A thing I think is a disappointment for everyone involved.

When my son was a Squirt, the best player on our team was a girl. We don't know what happened to her or where she ended up, but my son and his friends will always remember that in Squirts year #1, a red haired girl was the MAN! BTW, I didn't intend to lurk on this forum, I chose the wrong drop down ...

Congrats to the Hounds. I really thought Edina's goalie would carry them to the championship but I will say that Duluth East outplayed them and in the end, the right team advanced.

Not a slam on STA--they BELONG in Class AA

Not slamming them at all. It's not the choice of the coaches, the players or the parents that they play in class A. It's the school administration. Why they choose to stay A, I have no idea.

All I want to say is the AA State Tourney would be better with STA in it.

Does anyone disagree?

Housley doesn't have a college education but I think he does OK still. With that said, I think hockey coaches should be teachers at their schools. At least they would have proven that they know how to treat young people with respect and communicate with them properly. A HS hockey coach should have a...

I know two of them played on Stillwater's A Bantam team. Why they put kids on their A Bantam team that are not even Stillwater HS kids I have no idea. As far as I'm concerned that is what the B1 team is for.

Re: STA

Well once again a private school has ruined a small communities hope of a state championship as they beat TRF. Next year there better be a 3rd class for recruiting.. i mean private schools Yeah, it makes me sick to be honest. If they are blowing out Hermantown, I would love to see half the crowd ge...
