The Tourney has reached its peak

It's all down hill from here. It was a good run. The game has just overrun what it was meant to be. Too expensive. Lack of community identity. Not enough interest from casual sports fans. No more coliseum. I hope the mercantilists and progressives are happy. I hope you enjoy your lakeville north, Ed...

Seriously...Maple Grove? Nobody lived in Maple Grove 25 years ago. Everyone there is from somewhere else. Exactly. Hill has just as much of a community, possibly more, than these newer suburbs like MG and Lakeville. I'd say about half the students at Hill are second generation Pioneers. Some kids a...

So what did Coach "L" have to say in his post game wrap up? "Well I have to thank the Hill Murray Youth Hockey Association for giving me such a talented group of players to work with!" or was it "Our community is very proud of their boys and how they put their hearts on the line day in and day out!...

Hill is really laying down the body. MG came into this game puppy-eyed and has been rattled easily.

Lechner's system works again.

I know I'm preaching to the choir, but that was just brutal to watch yesterday and we need to go back to one class. Yea I know it will never happen; doesn't mean it shouldn't though. Four non-competitive games in front of a crowd that couldn't fill up 1/4 of the lower bowl. It was watching it on my ...

East Side Tradition with the top coaching staff in the state 4 Noobs from those newfangled sub developments out in the boonies up towards St Cloud 1 When Hill is the underdog, Hill plays their best. Maple Grove is talented, sure, but they're not nearly as talented as '08 Roseau or '10 Minnetonka. Hi...

Very good game. Hill was obviously the better team, but when Roseville had chances they took advantage of them. I forgot the name, but one of their players netted a really nice backhander on 2-on-1 to tie things up at the very end of the first period. To be honest I was expecting Roseville's fanbase...

It's a great day to be an Eastsider!

I may be a HM fan but a Johnson win over WBL is just as sweet. I'd love to see a Hill-Johnson section championship next Friday night at the Fairgrounds. One last time.

more than a state one.. at the tourney yesterday I talked to the St. Thomas's goalie's father. They're from Milwaukee, WI. Don't worry I didn't get infected.. I'd take a few more showers just to be sure. Small towns play for their city. #6 is way off. I play for myself, my family, friends, school, ...

Congratulations to Duluth East. We ancient Edina haters will be pulling for you in a big way tomorrow night. The WBL Quarterfinal curse lives on. I wonder what they did wrong to be cursed in such a way. Moose Goheen must have offended the hockey gods many years ago. In the first ever state tourname...

For some reason I just have a gut feeling Moorhead is going to come out of nowhere and take this one. No one's talking about them but they're a solid team with a solid system and I'm thinking they're going under the radar.
