This section is over. Lourdes wins easily in championship by 3 or 4. Does not matter if it is Albert Lea or new prague. Nice post, it suits you very well, "Rookie." No way Lourdes walks through this section. In fact I have AL or West knocking them off. LOL. So you're saying a team that ti...

What are you talking about ILIKECARS2?????? Mayo hasn't lost since January 13th. And in regards to last night you are right it was a terribly officiated game BUT ON BOTH ENDS!!!!! Faribault scored its first goal on a 5 minute major power play that should not have been a 5 minute major. Faribualt, d...

Re: MW

Don't be dissin' on Chan there my redfacedfriend. Both Chan games against NP were 2-1 games, with each team winning on home ice. Chan has also taken Holy Angels to OT twice this season. For a first year club they are currently 9-10-1 overall and 5-6-0 in the Missota where everyone figured they woul...

What i don't understand is why faribault doesn't play forgaard at goalie. I remember this subject somewhere else, maybe it was in the Big 9 thread, but from what it seems Forgaard is moved away from Faribault to play golf elsewhere (He was a state golfer for Faribault BA) if I'm remembering correct...

I hear that Faribault is getting their players back from suspension so they will be able to go the rest of the season. Hopefully that will help them make a come back to a terrible start.

Also when does West go to Lourdes?

i heard that forgaard was suspended for 12 games a week before the season for disciplinary reasons, as were other members of the faribault team, which may explain their early struggles. dont know the details, but doesnt sound like ryan is putting up with the kids bad behavior outside of the rink an...

Why they aren't playing isn't any of my business and I don't care. However.... JM (King), Century (Sellnow), and Faribault (Forgaard) all had experianced goalies returning and none have played as of yet. Too bad for those teams as all are pretty good goalies, but it gives someone else a chance to s...

I think Lourdes is the pre season favorite in my opinion they are returning a lot of key players from last years team. Like Funk, Vessel, Chezick, Samuelson. Faribault lost most of their guys to graduation I believe. They will have to get a lot of their load from guys like Lipinski, Helegson, Teske ...

How can anyone say Fairbault will be favored. They lost 12 seniors and Their best returner left for Jumiors, and their coach in not very good. I would have to pick one of the three Rochester Schools to win big nine this year. Don't they have more returners coming back? Yes they do i don't think at ...

Not a big deal...but it is the Advanced program. Section 1A/1AA 16's had their tryouts last weekend (2- 2 hour scrimmages) in Rochester. Pretty hokey process....there were about 50 players and 7 goalies. I can see how good evaluators might determine players (although picking the top 18 from 50 woul...

In reading the post-bulletin today there is an article regarding the seeding of the 1A tournament. It states the coach from Faribault was the only one that put Lourdes lower than 2. Apparenly he put them down to #4. I am not a Lourdes fan by any means but what was he thinking or I should say What w...

the teams are not better this year, in years past many more top rated teams in section 1A, how can you possibly say that there are better teams this year when only Lourdes and Falcons are in the top 20, that makes no sense at all Not sure what rankings you are using, but New Prague is ranked 13th o...

On paper Lourdes has the edge in goaltending which should make for another great section matchup should they meet.[/quote]

What it looks like on followthepuck. Faribaults goalie has the second best stats in the section. So we will just have to see how the goalies show up.

Re: Class A Rankings 2-14-10

Which of those losses is bad? Maybe Orono or Champlin, but none of those teams are teams I would overlook on any given night. Well on that then Rogers should be in the top 20 since they beat cathedral and tied Sartell and beat Orono twice the last time was this thursday in which Rogers was down 5 o...

I was at that game. Shattuck just played terribly. They are a completely different team year in and year out. Only Juniors and Seniors, with the very occasional Sophomore (sidney crosby, okposo, jordy murray), so they go through players really quickly there. They vary a lot year to year in talent. ...

Easily 5 or more goals. Won't be much of a game.
