loveitorleaveit, Your name says a lot. What I'm saying is work on developing lots of players. More and more every year. You can work hard to grow and improve your youth association and you can work hard to improve the local high school experience. That is what you control. I wanted the name hititan...

Skip the mentions of high school. That isn't the role of any youth association. Youth Associations are for developing youth players.... SERIOUSLY? 15 years ago, there wasn't one youth program I can think of that had the same nickname as the high school they fed into and for that matter, they didn't...

Re: Class A Semifinal: EGF vs. STA
Do the Green Wave have a chance? There is a better chance of getting someone intelligent to do the TV broadcast than EGF to win. 4 min left in the STA game up 12-0 and the guy on TV said "its great to see the coaches get the 4th line out there for some playing time." Really! :? The 4th li...

Re: District 8 Squirt "B" teams in playoffs over l
District 8 is allowing "B" squirt teams to play even though they will be over the 35 game limit with playoff games. (Inver Grove Heights, Eagan(Blue),Cottage Grove and Rosemount (Green). What happen to rules just check out each teams website unless they have removed them. And those are ju...

I think if you checked with the smaller associations in D10 that only had an A team (no AA), you would find they thought it was great. The kids got to play against fairly evenly matched teams. They have a shot a making it to regions, maybe even state. Sure, they probably got beat up by the AA teams...

Re: Minnesota Hockey Journal
Not sure why I still read this propaganda, but I guess I do.... In the latest issue article titled Road to State, D10 Director Tim Timm is quoted in the magazine "for league play, we have started scheduling each A team to play each AA team once and play the other teams in their tournament clas...

If the coach is to blame for anything its keeping someone like this on the team up to this point. The rest lies on the shoulders of this kid's poor attitude. Suck it up and play your role. The coach is 95% to blame on this one. How can you not know this kid after 3 years of coaching him? How can yo...

Re: District 10 AA vs A
What I find even more interesting is a review of D10 board meeting minutes from December meeting makes no mention of this ill decided disparity.... Lets just close out eyes and pretend this isn't happening... I remember after it came out that the discussion wasn't included in the minutes, the respo...

How about some stats from D10 AA vs A so far: 46 games AA record 42-3-1 AA 292 goals to A 58 goals 7 games AA was double digits over A AA has 16 shutouts over A 15-2 14-1 13-0 IMO - games like this don't help either side. Sample of Spring Lake Park (A) vs D10 AA games 0-15 vs Anoka AA 2-15 Vs. Elk ...

If Coon Rapids would get some better coaching, they would easily be AA. How nice, you take your children from the CR program, you are relieved of your coaching duties from the program you transfer into (they must have seen the same thing we saw), and you want to rip the coach of the team your son a...

Coon Rapids did for obvious reasons. We fair ok against A teams, but playing AA teams are almost pointless. The method in D10 is the usual throw it against the wall and see what sticks. There have been 7 games so far with AA teams beating A teams scoring 10 goals or more. 15-0 isn't a game, its a w...

They could have opted down but decided not to. Cottage Grove is one example of a team that waivered down to single A and I'm sure there are a few more Coon Rapids did for obvious reasons. Or they could just simply implement the original plan and only split AA/a for playoffs. Then you would have the top players always playing against each other. But how would you fill a regular season district schedule for the District 3 Tier 1 A teams (OMG, Wayzata) and District 8 Tier 1 A team (Woo...
