Budish & Bjugstad both go today. Gotta wonder about Haula, but both Houston & the Wild are sooo full.

Hanowski, Leblanc, and t Johnson all gone. Plus chances of dowd and Jensen leaving, right? If that happens that would be losing a lot. Who is losing more if it happens this way... Huskies: Leblanc, hanowski, Johnson and 1 or the other (Jensen/dowd) Gophers: helgeson, haula, bjugstad, and 1 or the o...

Down 2-0. Yale hasn't been bad but boy we sure have been. Lot's of penalties, non-WCHA refs seem to call a more feminine game

^^Ultimately I realize that I'm falling victim to the age-old point the finger when you're team isn't playing up to their own level. The Gopher's NCAA fate is in their hands, and really, I think they above anyone else have the most to lose after whooping up on BC earlier. Their achilles heel has bee...

Agreed!! I just still think condon is a big factor to this team and would love to see him in the top 3 lines... Anyone else find it interesting that Lucia switched things up. * no skjei - even though he had been playing well. * holl - Michaelson - and parenteau had been playing well * condon moved ...

Tiger-I do believe both of them would have been top 6 THIS year as well. Who would they replace? Not sure exactly, but Lucia would have found a way to shuffle around, and get them "top 6 mins". Condon, I agree is a really solid college player who has incredible speed, and I am not sure wh...

Guertler is from Florida. He's small and fast. He's played two season's in Fargo-USHL and has played with the NTDP in a tournament or two. http://www.usahockey.com/Template_Usahockey.aspx?NAV=TU_04_03_05&id=306428 http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.com/teamplayerstats.html?teamid=140440&seas...

I said it at the beginning of the year and I'll say it again: who is gonna be the Mattson of this years team? NO ONE. The Gophers seem to have a 'too-big-to-lose' mentality at times and it showed on Friday when they got lulled to sleep by CC. I agree that Isaackson is not top-line material. I'd be c...

Bjugstad is long gone IMO. Schmidt skated at a camp for a team out East in the off-season, but I still think he's a toss up for stay or leave. If offered a contract I doubt we'll see him back in the Maroon & Gold. Haula will stay; look at the number of youngin's already with the Wild. Why would ...

I can't tell how I feel about the Slattery kid. Aside from the nice assist on LaValle's first goal, he doesn't look like a Lechner-type player: over-handling of the puck, gliding around, avoiding loose pucks... Is this typical of him or what's the deal?

I missed the big hit on the Moorhead player. Anyone have a clip? The announcers made it sound clean. Did the Spud return?

How about Hanowski chasing the state scoring record a few years ago, and in the process running up the score on almost exclusively sub-par programs?

Will the Gophers win WCHA? If not, where will they finish? Could they be in a play in game in the final five, which would be great for revenue if they could play 3 games. At this point the WCHA is mostly the Huskies to lose, but there are teams close on the fringe if they do slip more than once. Th...

Or SCC could just do the ballsy thing and move up to AA where they belong. They draw the best talent from a large metro area. Why not sack up and play with the big boys? Baby steps. Lets get STA and Breck, the teams with the big budgets where they belong first. The Twin Cities metro of over 3 milli...

The Gophers have been downright dominant since their 4-4 tie with CC, the exception to that being Friday night last week against UAA. Surprisingly they've flourished without Haula in the lineup, and if he is to return this weekend to a Gophers team with good momentum going into WCHA play this weeken...

If the part about the high end goalie is true, that's great for Hermantown because historically, (since Nate Hardy) Hermantown's goaltending has been the weak link for them.
