Edwardo, This team is awfully young, and they played two pretty good games against Edina and East. I am no fan of Sager, as I think he should have been dismissed years ago, but the constant piling on gets worn, especially when he has a team as young, and outmatched as this team has been many games ...

I agree with PioneerPride guy on this one. WBL has been in these last few games due to the style of play. Similar to the style they had to use when they beat HM a few years back in the section final. Keeping everything, or as much as possible to the perimeter, and maintaining defenses integrity in ...

Re: WBL/Roseville

Another dissapointing loss for the Bears. Just can't seem to score, and the defense is horrible. I don't think Sager's messing with the lines is going to help. He should leave the sophmore line together. I disagree with the Sophmore line staying together, but he shouldn't put all top 3 goal scorers...

Thanks for the info- I wish I could have went down to the game. Was Whalin the best player on the ice ??? Slattery was the best guy on the ice until he got the boot. White Bear tried to spring Whalin up the wing all game, but Hill covered it up well. Usually when he did get the puck he was 1 ...

Maybe it's just me but what's happened to this confrence over the year's? It doesn't seem like there is much talent up and down in this confrece as their use to be. WB doesn't have the talent at all like they use to. Woodbury- Once in while produces a kid or 2..Roseville poor. Park-Aweful. Hastings...

Sager needs to get this penalty thing under control fast. The odd thing is, it's not the young players taking the penalities, it's the upperclassmen, and he sits quitely on the bench and says nothing. I agree on this. While I would be the first to admit I think they would be a better hockey team wi...

Re: final score

White Bear 3 Woodbury 3 OT Woodbury up 3 to 1 with 2 minutes remaining. White bear tied it up but couldn't seal the deal. IMO White bear is not worthy of their current ranking. Time will will prove that though. Not sure what you men about WB's current ranking, thier not ranked very high. They did p...

I say in the past seven or eight years that this is the only game that I have actually seen Sager coach. Which makes me believe that he had nothing to do with the neutral zone trap idea, I give credit to the younger coaches for coming up with the idea. But I have to give Sager credit for finally lis...

I think all of you are overlooking WBL, They had a strong JV team in which 6 of them played 4 varsity games during the varsity vacation. and went 1-2-1 playing, Forest Lake tighter than the true Varsity team did. What they lack in talent they make up in chemistry and heart. However if they don't get...

Eddie.... because I was not AT the game, I cannot explain the intensity or the visuals that the people in attendance saw, but I can give you a perspective from the internet broadcast. Let me explain that, although I am not even close to being a fan of the WBL coaching staff, I DO care about the play...

This was one of the most poorly games, I have witnessed by both teams this season. Start with Stillwater. Negatives - I am sorry but Coach Hously is a whiner, WB player gets hurt with a check from behind and Stillwater gets a gift with a 2 and ten. The next minute Hously is screaming at the ref. for...

A coach is a coach and in the end as a coach you are responsible for the team you are coaching wheather it is a Varsity , JV or C squirt team. Your job as a coach is to have each player be a better player at the end of the season than when they started and if that means you teach a player how to pa...

ilivegreen - Not true, look at the link below under rule modifications. Why wouldn't the teams want to play 17 minute periods????

Re: ...

I like how white bears jv team can keep up with flake and when WBL is up 5-2 they cant play there 4th line... i think its sager should be ashamed after how kids like (sam, jonny, jack) step up when sager needs them most and then wont let them touch the ice when the have a 3 goal lead... WBL won 5-4 n...

Yeah, those sophomores and juniors, many who have never even played JV before are just awful  Typical Edina, you know your program is on the way down so you have to tear down the ones on the way up. Puckster, I completely disagree, 2 out of 3 of those goals were deflected. You can hardly call that soft. That is calling a spade a spade. I have nothing to say about the coaching staff. But in general, if coaches are in-fact teaching at practice it is up to the players to use what they learned in a...

Goldy, all I am saying is that I realize that you are bitter with the coaches, I don't know what happened, or why. But you appear to be a very angry negative person. If the team played bad but the goalie played good that state that. A soft goal is a soft goal, I will tell you right not that the Hill...

Goldy, I don't know your situation, but what I do know is that I am personally tired of you trying to make the goalies look bad. Scheletty played a good game against Hill. Considering how many times he was hung out to dry with break aways and odd man rushes, if I recollect 4 out of 5 goals were odd ...
