Neal Broten won literally everything a MN hockey player could dream of winning - except a state title, but he credits his time playing with his buddies and brothers at Roseau as his favorite times playing hockey. Casey has as bright a future as anyone we've seen in a long time as HS hockey fans and...

A wise man twice told me that if we score in 1:32, we still have a power play. Potentially 2 goals so I am going with that theory!

Another OT for HT?
It was a great run for MAML but I don't see how this isn't running time in the third period. BUT, after what we have witnessed in this year's tourney, nothing would surprise me! Good luck to both teams today.

I don't see how MAML can keep it close but that's why they play the games.

I will say that Roseau moved the Buffalo game up an hour to accommodate them and I do know that we have played the semi-final game at 2:00 in the afternoon to accommodate travel from the south. STMA won the right to host the game so one can't really bash them for not moving the time. Maybe someday ...

Can someone check on Elliott? Seems he dropped off after the 3-1 lead. Yes, I had apt as my secretary decided Tuesday night was the best night to get people into my office. Originally intended to drive down. A nice comeback for Brainerd. Disappointed but if your team wants to win they need to stay ...

STMA would love to play Brainerd but I have been told that the last two years Brainerd has refused to schedule them. Maybe just a logistical...

I think Roseau above Rogers is a stretch but above STMA is a disgrace to the system. I don't believe anything is final until tomorrow so let's just see what happens then. I would be moderately shocked if that many coaches conspired to sway the voting so unfairly - I did say moderately! With all that...

In HS, they go by sections? So section 7 would have D(east), Elk River etc ... ???

If that's the case, that's alot of drive for practice.
They said most likely no practice would be scheduled for section 7 because of the drive.

I am going to miss the banter that section 7 generates but can't say I'm too disappointed moving to section 8 next year - not that it gets any easier. Section 7 is a true meat grinder with some high quality players and coaches. Good luck to all of the teams next year and it was a pleasure watching t...
