Some great games over this past weekend. EP is a very good team. Duluth Esst will probably be the team to beat this year.........!! Please elaborate on EP, scores, players etc. Also how did goaltending look? Semi finals: Duluth East 6 - EP 3: Not as close of game as the score would indicate Elk riv...

They will be just OK in the Missota - however don't expect them to make it past the first round in sections, similar to this past year

Either Prior Lake or BSM. PL had the advantage going into the final game in the tiebreaker. PL tied BSM in the round robin. Could be a huge surprise.
Eden Prairie, D East, Elk River and Prior Lake - PL looked very solid with the exception of 1 half in game 1.

There are always opinions that some kids that made it shouldn't have, and some kids that didn't should have. I can think of a hand full of players (or more) that should have, although I don't pick them. If you follow MN HS Hockey, and look at the rosters, overall it is a strong group of players - an...

StPaul makes a good point - and with the curreny and ongoing budget struggles that could certainly happen. I can not speak for Massachusetts hockey, however I have seen the HS hockey in Michigan and while the Catholic schools have won the state titles, it is not good hockey. Most good players leave ...

There will be a few other schools not normally considered top 20 in the past that will find their way in the list, and some schools routinely in the top 20 dropping out, like AHA and possibly Lakeville

Private schools are a waste of money - kids are figuring out with the transfer rules the way they are going to a private school does not lead to better sports.

Re: AA rankings

. I am kind of upset at the seeding, but you need to play Edina to get anywhere. My prediction will be AHA pulls the Edina upset and will end up playing Jefferson in the final. Crazy huh? I just got back from New Orleans......[/quote] Some much for the thought of AHA pulling of the Edina upset, they...

There are always reasons why a team wins - or in this case why a team loses. Also, lots of analysis that can be done to try and make sense out of things - as you mention. I also watched the AHA - Edina game, and for whatever reason Edina didn't seem interested until the thrid period - then dominated...

As an AHA fan and supporter, I will say this about the program. Yes they have taken a step back from the early 2000's teams. Maybe the down turn in the economy hurt with getting kids to come and play for them. Yes a hard year for the kids with a couple of illnesses within the team family, coach and...

thats a tough loss to swallow. you never want to lose against a terrible hockey program like prior lake. that must be tough on those kids. you work all year to get to state and you get bounced in the first round to a bottom dweller. but hey thats the fun of the game! I do not have a horse in this r...

Watched this game - prior lake pretty much handle AHA 5 on 5 - AHA power play very good - 3 goals from the power play. I have seen a number of teams this year - a few games with Prior Lake and their goalie has played well in every game. Not sure what happened to them in the 1st half of the season, b...

Chan has played AHA tight, but it appears they don't have the same jump when playing other teams - IF they get matched against AHA in sections it could be entertaining.
