I'm not sure what I'm arguing, and I may be doing a poor job of it as well. The bottom line is the majority of the turnover happens at teams that aren't competitive, and the gap between being competitive and sucking gets bigger every year. The haves (privates and established publics) continue to va...

How long before the AD's get sick of hiring new coaches every other year and just fold the program or co-op? In 10 years we will have no need for 2 classes anymore because all of these schools will have folded their programs or joined forces with 3 other schools so they can compete against the priv...

Re: Laptops
Youth sports are about having fun and learning life lessons.... Don't forget they put a score board in the rink for a reason. If we keep playing for fun, our teams will keep coming home with participation medals. Learning how to win, and that you don't always win are great life lessons. Our element...

Nobody has mentioned anything about what a shame this would be for the girls on the AA team if true. If all of this is true, then the blame lies solely with the school, not the girls. It's too bad there isn't a solution that would punish the school and not the girls. I'm not sure calling out the Do...

evidence of the stalking of children in person and on social media The first is a serious allegation that if true should be treated that way. The second does not exist. If anyone (adult or underage) posts anything to an open access social media site it is considered for public consumption. If a stu...

It used to be that goalies were labeled as crazy. The last four years I think have changed that to the goalie parents are crazy, and rightfully so. I don't know where to lay the cause but I tend to think a lot of it has to do with the lack of coaching goalies within associations. This has forced the...

Re: IMHO
4 on 4 half ice no goalies at mites and 8u have so drastically reduced development at those levels that if I had another kid coming up I wouldn't even bother. No skating, no passing, no learning positions. An 8 kid cluster f***. HEAR, HEAR! Ringettes and soccer balls on the ice are an insult, event...

In NE's defense, it's not like anyone could have predicted educational problems when you hire people to help educate kids in a broad field of study who have no experience or training in education. On a completely unrelated note, I am having trouble with my car. Could anyone recommend an apprentice p...

Pretty sure that players can go private to public without moving as long as they can convince the mshsl it was for financial reasons Very very difficult to do. Hastings has a kid went private Fresh-Soph, went back to Hastings Junior and is ineligible this year. Playing JV this year. Have to show a ...

Re: Northern Educate cutting programs immediately
Did anyone else notice the child pictured with this article is listed as 5 years old? I'm not even sure where to begin with that. What do you mean? My two year old is at home doing push-ups and stickhandling right now! At least he better be or he'll get the hose again. (sarcasm drippingly obvious I...

Re: STA
They argued for placement back in the Metro East at the MSHSL meeting after being rejected by all 3 conferences. I know a guy that was in the room, this is 100% true. This is the part that confuses me. If STAA wants to be treated "like the big boys", why didn't they push to be in the SEC....

I wish there was a volleyball site, so I could read the arguments about who gets the kills recorded correctly and who doesn't. The dispute over where stats should be entered? Look at the one that makes you feel the best. That's all we are looking for anyway isn't it? I actually wish they would all ...
