I applaud all of our fine Minnesota students that participate in high school sports. I especially applaud those members of a program(faculty, students and parents) that when given the opportunity to descend to an easier bracket because of their enrollment, chose to stay in the tougher bracket and c...

1 State Tourney. We (Minnesota) should strive for the BEST high school hockey tournament. Make the section championships more important. 8 sections winners seeded 1-8. More teams in tourney. Great. Have all the teams that lost section finals host or at section final arena play the 8 highest ranked t...

A basement, garage or other open area at home loaded with a net, backstop, stick handling balls, heavy weight pucks, 100-200 regular pucks, stick handling balls and good music!

Relatively cheap, fun and beats video games all day long! :D

You said balls twice!

okay I HAVE A SOLUTION. Do the thing exactly like NCAA hockey. 16 teams in the tourny. Teams are ranked and selected by a committee by the MSHSL. Teams that are not in the top 16 in the rankings have a chance to make the tourny by winning their section. Pretty sure this system works well in college...

D3 hockey is joke, sorry. A bunch of 24 year-old goons running guys in front of 75 fans. Meanwhile the kids are forking out 20+ grand a year for an education they could get at a University. Tell us, what one of the MIAC schools cut your kid? It was The University of Northland. They cut my little Ge...

1 tourney. 1 class, 16 teams. Section tourneys would be awesome. So many great arenas around the state that would be rocking for a chance to get to the STATE TOURNEY. Bigs, Smalls, and Privates would come together to make the greatest tourney better year after year.

No doubt the speed n skill of the boys will help a young girl improve. I would guess all the Olympic (Canadian n USA) girls played on boys teams growing up. But these are the best of the best and I don't know how an "average" girl would do. It has to be fun for the girl if she needs more competition...

We're all aware of the challenges of determining the "best" 8 in the state. And I like the thought of a small school getting to participate in the State tournament....
