Looking at the list posted above, I think there may be only a handful of givens that everyone agrees they should be invited. All of the guys that are committed, plus Kulman and Sheehy would be my guess. Maybe Heinrich.

Looks like both Brodzinski and Gross are playing tonight in the Green Bay vs Muskegon game. Both wearing #20 ironically.

It should almost be consensus that Gross is a more pure goal scorer and better in the offensive zone. I believe Gross also moves the puck better in the neutral zone and defensive zone as well, but without the puck in the d-zone can still work on his positioning/toughness. With that said, Mike is a h...

Maple Grove has essentially two first lines that are superior to Blaine's top line....and not to mention Maple Grove has a D who is fourth in the state in points with six goals. The only clear advantage I see to Blaine is Malvin. Malvin will have to have another section like performance to keep this...

Guentzel, Labosky, Lettieri, Nanne, Opperman, Zajac, and Stemen all could be one of the two besides Kloos. I think they are pretty spot on with the five there though.

Blaine is going to need Malvin to play like a Metro-Area Dream Team goalie in order to keep the streak going this year.

How is Centennial a surprise team? I understand the other two, but doesnt Centennial expect to be good each and every year. My surprise teams when it comes to making the state tourney: Bemidji Elk River Stillwater BSM (With how good Minnetonka will be this might be a surprise team to make it) I cou...

Re: Troy Hesketh

Sounds like he will play for D3 Hamline.... has there ever been a 3rd round NHL pick to play D3? Is he playing juniors anywhere? How would everyone know it's academics? Not sure how you can come to that assertion. Doesn't Hamline have an academic standard? Could it be that he did not improve his ga...

The 15's out in New York for USA Hockey are comparable to those in the New Hope Camp. The 16's camp only has 10 teams, while the 17's camp has only 8. The level of play rises as the kids get older. The All-Star games played at the end of each camp really showcase the premier players.

Re: MN advanced 16's

How is the showing from the Minnesota boys this year? I know the '95 class is pretty deep. Fantastic showing. At least four kids in the NDTP and another five more on the Five Nations Tournament team... seriously deep birthyear. Not taking anything away from the 95's. But they have a handful of firs...

I'd say Section 6 has the most depth at Forward, but other than that there isn't a whole lot there. Section 5 and Section 1 both have 2 or 3 great D-men, as well as Section 5 having arguably the best goalie in the tournament. With the 95's I see a pretty clear Top 10-15 skaters, with the rest sorte...

With the amount of d-men at the Section 5A/AA camp, should there be a limit on the number of d-men and forwards allowed at each camp? I can see at most 8 D on each team, and at most 12-15 forwards on each team. And that is pushing the limits for kids showcasing their talents. From the looks of the S...

I have a feeling if Maple Grove would have made the tournament they would be playing Eden Prairie tonight. MG would have represented 5AA much better. I don't know if I can stand Aus holding his hands up with how many repeats they have had for another year... It's downright frustrating to see.

It is crazy how many very good players have gone through the mg program and they've never gone to state. At some point I'd imagine the coach has to get the heat. Lets not get ahead of ourselves here. Maple Grove has had some very good teams through the past decade. Maple Grove needs to get over their stumbles in the Section Finals or Semi-Finals. I wouldn't be surprised to see Maple Grove at State, but it wouldn't shock me if they lost in Sections either. Bl...
