Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season
How would a player transfer back to his original school and be eligible? I know people play the fake residence game - but this is a bit visible for the general public. Would the family have to change their residence back to St. Cloud? The change in residence rule is only marginally applicable to pr...

Why not just make a list of top 5th graders? I can think of at least 12 kids from Made in SL1 (checking league) who would be on this list. There are kids on this list who play at Made who wouldn't be part of the 12 I am thinking of. If you're going to make a "top" list...then include all 5th grader...

Ahh yes, 24 do have to make it. D6/3 Combo does seem to have made out very well this year in looking at the seedings. How does EP with a 20-20-8 record end up in the 13th spot? Minus northern teams they were 15 in LPH, 17 in YHH now rankings, I guess they played a tough schedule so they should move...

I think there are 20 teams that are in: 1 Minneapolis – If they win Thursday vs. Wayzata, that should lock up the overall #1 seed having beaten Edina twice in the last month. 2 Edina 3 Rosemount 4 White Bear Lake 5 OMG – gets the nod over Blaine by beating Blaine twice this year. 6 Blaine 7 St. Clou...

These are all post-season for profit youth "all star" games dependent on a coach trying to recruit good players. I dare say the only people who brag about this kind of thing are parents. My daughter's playing to have fun with her friends and see some friends on other teams. Beyond that, pass the be...

The makeup of the districts playing in each region is well known at the start of the season, so no one should be surprised at which Districts are slotted into each Region. Virginia, Warroad and any other association had until December to change their A designation to AA, at either Bantam or PeeWee, ...

The MN Hockey residency rule created this problem. By allowing kids to play where they "attend school" opened the door for this to happen. The result is Sibley Area taken over by STA. St. Louis Park by BSM. Hopkins by Blake, etc. And that's just at the Bantam level. The same thing is going on in ot...

One organization is Mpls. Last year's A peewee finished way up there. They had a good year. Now with five bantam teams they still play A. That's sandbagging. How about this: Six teams = At least two A's, two B's Five teams = At least one A and two B's Four teams = At least one A and one B Three tea...

Let's get specific. Eagan is in District 8 (Apple Valley, Cottage Grove, Eastview, Farmington, Hasting, Inver Grove, Johnson, Lakeville, Rosemount, Sibley, SSP, Woodbury). White Bear is in District 2 (Forest Lake, Highland, Mahtomedi, Mounds View, NSP, Roseville, Stillwater, Tartan). How many of th...

I don't know why so many care what the team is named. If the team is called Team Minnesota who cares? The Minnesota Blades don't represent "Minnesota", the Minnesota Machine don't represent "Minnesota", yet they use Minnesota in their name everyday, so why should a bunch of adults care what the name...

Re: Game 1 Machine/Blades Score
Star Trib is reporting a 4-0 win for Orange. Blades outshot Orange by a wide margin but Orange goaltending was much better than Blades. On site reporter says Orange was more physical and played with a greater sense of urgency and buried their chances. Game 2 of 2 game series is tomorrow night at da...

Tough to move the 2000 Machine out of the top spot when they have won every single tournament they have entered in for multiple years. Also, your website is a Minnesota Hockey website. I would think that the top Minnesota team should be made up of Minnesota players. Wondering how many Minnesota pla...

Miracle Gold is in the 02 Elite of the Shuffle. Interestingly enough, so is the Blades, however i noticed they are also entered into the Meltdown tournament which is the same weekend. Possibly its the 03 playing up in the 02 division but i think there is a Blades team entered in the 03 age group as...

Wait a second. Did teams skip their district tournaments to play in this? All the district tourneys were completed. D6 finished on Monday - that was the last one I know of. D8's I understand is optional, which is too bad. D3 has it figured out. Play 32/33 games before disticts and teams have to pla...

YouthHockeyHub...First, love YHH. However, here is my problem with the Squirtacular. Our associations top SQA team practiced for two weeks after the other SQA teams season ended with districts. That was ALOT of valueable solo ice paid for by the association for this one team to play in the squirtac...
