More players will be drafted out of teams playing this weekend in Blaine than will be playing in the State Hockey Tournament in St. Paul next month. Very strong teams coming to Blaine this weekend . Perhaps no area team has been affected by early departures more than Duluth East boys hockey. In recent years, stellar players such as Derek Forbort, Keegan Flaherty, Andy Welinski and Connor Valesano left the Greyhounds, while several others had similar options but stayed. “There are a variety of ...

Tony

Very Valid... but please don't question Tony... he doesn't enjoy it. And as far as Fred... just disregard 60-70% of his efforts as that's about how accurate his "recollections" are and his subsequent "reportings" on them. I tried to correct him on an issue and he assured me he wa...

If you didn't enjoy getting a rock thrown at you, then I'd suggest you stop throwing rocks in the first place. It's just that "TYPE" of world.

Don't fear, I'm sure "Lil Johnny's" a great kid, and a great Hockey player, he will survive. I hope your ego heals up soon.

Re: Lucia Camp

Yeah, those two names jumped out at me also when I saw the list. I was hoping to see a name from Marshall. :( This camp has been going downhill. Not sure if it is a great accomplishment signing up for this camp. The Lucia camp has dropped off significantly. The caliber of player on the rosters the ...

Sorry notTONIGHT, I was trying to give a well thought out and detailed response why I just don't see Luverne being very good moving forward. When teams choke like they did last year it is very tough for small town programs to move forward. Most people will often say we put in that much time and sti...

Disappointed to read Lechner's response. He would rather stay and benefit from his advantages then be in a conference with similiar programs and have to be forced to compete. From an alumni perspective, this is sad. ? What did you expect him to say? "Hey, we have the Cat by the tail and have e...

Re: The Caribou tour of metro Cup

I have emailed the Caribou folks and get no response, so I will take my question to the experts!! Why do they not keep the same age groups at the same rinks. This tourney is a logistical nightmare with coaching, parenting, and especially grandparenting. Game here, game there, it is tour of the metr...

Another steaming pile from 3A. It's painfully obvious that you have no damn idea what your talking (you don't even spend the time to figure out names of the players you claim to know so much about) Why don't you spend the Summer boning up on your facts and then continue inserting your foot in your m...

You've obviously never been "Freigh-trained" through a goal anchored this way then.. It's dangerous. MOST of the problem with Peg's is that nobody knows how to correctly set them.

The two class system was created to allow more teams to compete. It worked for awhile, now we are back to most teams not having a chance at getting to St. Paul. Since 2000, only two public Class A schools have experienced a championship - Warroad (twice) and Hermantown (once). Grab the Clock, turnb...

Well deserved Congrats!

Nice little B-day present. Conrats! Copied from MSHSL Game Notes: Marshall’s junior goaltender, Mason Campion, probably didn’t expect to set a record when he and his Tigers teammates qualified for the state tournament, the first time for the school. Certainly not two records. And on his 17th birthda...
